Had breakfast here. Food was just OK, nothing spectacular. Service was good, but food was just bland.

We came in from a long day of traveling and my husband's stomach wasn't quite "right". We ordered the Shepherd's Pie with Mac n Cheese and broccoli casserole and the Chicken n Dumplings with broccoli and cinnamon apples. Wow! Incredibly flavorful and delicious! We received excellent service from Shawn D. There was one tiny mishap, that management immediately resolved and... More

The food is standard, but the atmosphere is great for meeting or just for a leisure time with family and friends

I found Elmo's soon after I started working in Durham. I feel in love with the food and atmosphere right away, just like home. You have to go early on the weekend, because there is always a waiting line, unless you can find a stool at the counter like I did. Tons of waiters and waitresses all taking care of... More

We had breakfast at Elmo's the other day. It is one of only 2 places in the area that actually serve breakfast. The service was good and timely. My scrambled eggs (two egg special) was more than generous in size, greatly appreciated the flavor - I have not had eggs like that in years.

This is one of the restaurants offering traditional US food with homemade flavors at a very reasonable price. It offers a good variety of traditional dishes with a friendly staff providing a good service. Definitely a good options for visitors who want to try local food.

We drove by this place several times and there was always a wait. Parking is limited and it took awhile to find a parking space. We waited about 20 minutes for a table and I would imagine that was better than the norm. They have a loyal following and do a steady business. The food was very good. The Elmo... More

This was our second trip to Elmo's for breakfast. This time I tried the veggie breakfast burrito wiyh a side of home fries and I was not disappointed. It really was great. I only ate half and saved the rest for the next day and it was even better!

We chose Elmo's because of the good reviews. We were disappointed. When we arrived we were put on a wait list. A family that was the same size as ours and showed up 15 mins later was seated before us. Our server ignored us so long that someone else took our order. Food was mediocre. Husband ordered milk and was... More
