I was at a medical office and looked at a to go plate the office manager was eating. She said the fried chicken was Halal/Kosher which looked very tasty . It was 2 pieces of chicken 2 Vegs. and 4 hush puppies ( strange combo) I was unaware NC folks loved hush puppies so much. So after I left there... More

Barbecue can be too greasy and inadequately screened for fat and gristle. This is North Carolina, where best barbecue lives, so they should take more pains.

The best down home cooking on this side of the Carolinas. Great country soul food. Located off N Roxboro Rd in the shopping where Cookout is.

This was one of my favorite BBQ restaurants in the area, but alas they changed location and went from buffet to cafeteria style. The place was so nasty I cannot believe they had a 99% sanitation grade, my hands were sticking to the table. We were wearly for dinner but Hush puppies and potatoes were already gone...but not for the... More

When you pull up looking for an Ole BBQ shack you certainly aren't expecting to find it has moved to a strip mall location. The bad economy apparently hit them after they had updated to an old house style location. I thought a lot of small businesses are hurting but they advertise as a buffet so I will give it... More

Good home style, southern cooking. Greasy, but what Southern food isn't? Nice, eclectic atmosphere. Not fancy. Great for big or small parties.

not traditional NC Bar-B-Que. The service is lacking at this restaurant. The food is more like prepackaged food that they heat up and put it on the buffet.

Ate here with our party of 13. Seated quickly. Food was OK. Chopped pork BBQ was classic vinegar based NC style and not bad for what it was. Chicken pretty good. Ok salad bar. Poor desserts. Note that I do not care for buffets in general but thought this was better than most. The rest of our group liked it... More
