My husband and I stopped here after coming through Cherokee. I wanted good home cooked food and that is exactly what we got. I ordered the chuckwagon with mashed potatoes, green beans and northern beans. My husband ordered the double cheeseburger (real patties not a bubbaburger). Oh, and the banana pudding was delicious. Be sure to have cash. They do... More

Reviews said this was the place to go for Southern home cooking. Maybe the cook had an off day. Not nearly as good as other "home cooking" places we visited in the Smokies, like Mary's Restaurant south of Haysville, NC. Ms Lois' was not awful, just not as flavorful and memorable as we had hoped. Also, not easy to spot--a... More

I had the boneless fried chicken, biscuit, green beans, mashed potatoes, and rice and gravy. The kids split the boneless fried chicken and had macaroni salad and mashed potatoes. My husband had the country fried chicken with cream corn, mixed beans, rice and gravy and cornbread. We all enjoyed it! It is a cash-only restaurant and thank goodness I had... More

I met four high school classmates for lunch at Lulu's a few weeks ago. We're all in our 70s and hadn't seen each other for at least 40 years, so we were more interested in catching up than eating, but the food was good and the service was pleasant and accommodating. We had burgers, soup, and other sandwiches. We lingered... More

My husband and I love to eat at "locals" restaurant and this is one! The servers greet customers by name and knew their drink orders. We were the only visitors and the servers were just as kind to us. I had beef tips and my husband had the pork chop and both very tender and flavorful. Lots of sides to... More

We are in North Carolina to visit Cades Cove as part of my mother's bucket list. We stopped at this cafe based on reviews. It was excellent, portions of country home cooked fresh vegetables all tasty and not greasy. So full could not eat some of their famous pies. We will be back!!

This was a hot spot with the locals! We sauntered in at 11:20 and the waitress was able to get us breakfast even though they stop serving it at 11. Food was delicious. Prices were great. When we left at 12:00, there was a line of folks waiting for a table!

Thank cyntynes
