This is an old hardware store from the 1800s that is converted to a restaurant. It is locally owned and operated. The food is good, the service is great, and the local music especially nightly shows how much talent is in this city.

The food was alright it was a little bland. The table we sat at was an old door that they made into a table. It was so top heavy I had to use my knee to hold up the end of the table and the entire table moved when I used my knife to cut my food. So ask for... More

Got Sarah(?) last time we were here. She was nice and accomadating and gave great suggestions for apps. The half priced nachos are a favorite. Come once a week and always have great service.

We have visited here several times for lunch and dinner. Always excellent food and service. The old historic building adds to the chsrm. Prices are not bad. They even have live entertainment at night on the weekends.

Seated at a drafty table evevwith a reservation. After drinks, our waitress disappeared. Finally went to front to see if someone could take our order. Took about 20 min. For salads, maybe 28 for the entrees, waitress disappeared again. Needed more napkins, more dressing. Then when plates cleared, waited long time for her again. Finally got check and waited so... I had a business luncheon and being unfamiliar with any of the restaurants in the area, I asked my guest to pick their favorite spot. They selected the 1841 Cafe. I found it to be an interesting place and the service was good. My guest gave me the history of the location, it's significance in local history and the restaurant's... More

I have only tried the wing special on Wednesday. The wings were great. My daughter and I also split a side order of Mac and cheese it was very good. Service was very good. We went at 4: 30 and missed a great local band I like JJ and highway men. I will have to go later next time. I... More

We had lunch at 1841 Cafe as a respite from walking around the Smoking in the Foothills BBQ Festival. I had a chicken salad plate, and my husband had nachos. The chicken salad was very good, and the nachos were good, too. Our waitress was excellent. We enjoyed music by a small group of musicians while we ate lunch. The... More

We visited on a Thursday evening and asked for outdoor seating. I would steer clear of that due to very loud music, smoke and really slow service. The food was good even though it took a long time. Very friendly server but service was really slow.

Since most of the restaurant was getting ready for a bridal luncheon and the front part of the restaurant was reserved by another group, service was cordial, but understandably frantic and rushed. I had a reuben sandwich with potato salad. It was a rather ordinary sandwich, and, truthfully, hardly worth the price. It wouldn't be my first choice despite its nice... More
