The service at J. Arthur's is always excellent. The wait staff are attentive and polite, and the restaurant itself has charming mountain style. They decorate the main dining area with a HUGE Christmas tree each December which is a fun touch. My husband orders steak and enjoys it every time. I order shrimp or pasta; sometimes it's delicious and sometimes... More

It's been awhile since we were here. We were there for our wedding anniversary 3-4 years ago and going back for our 25th anniversary over July 4 this year while in Maggie Valley. The food was wonderful and service was outstanding. The owner and my husband struck up a conversation about Ford Mustang's (my husband owns a Mustang and at... More

Thanks for your lovely review and we're so glad you had another great visit. Also appreciate the reminder that were primarily a steak house and buy fresh and first quality beef. If you shop in the grocery store then you know how prices have gone up! Our aim is always to delight our guests but if there should ever be... More

It has been years, took a friend of mine to J. Arthur's for dinner. It was not too crowded so we decided to sit in the bar. The hostess was pushy and seemed to have an issue of where we wanted to sit which was in a booth. We ordered dinner, had trout for dinner. When it got there, it... More

I am sorry to hear that you felt that you were not treated as a valued guest, as that is the way we try to treat everyone who walks through our doors. We had a very busy evening early on Valentines night and had four supervisors on the floor, and I wish you had spoken to one of them as... More

Ordered medium rare filet. At best it was medium well. With salad and baked potato it was $31. Husband had salmon. Total bill was $80 with one piece of pie and two teas.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at this fine dining establishment. The service was excellent. And the food was superb. My boyfriend's ribs were very tender and fell off of the bones. I had the blackened chicken with pasta and gorgonzola and it was delish. Their blue cheese dressing on their salad was delectable. Will look forward to... More

OK, this place has been a staple of ours since ~1989 whenever passing through this way. Our large family gathered here to have dinner and I just wanted to say that service is still great, the blue cheese salad dressing is still unparalleled,as is the french onion soup is the best ever. Most entrees are still worth raving about. An... More

Food quality was good. Service was above average. A bit pricey but no complaints. It's a little tacky, like a museum of Christmas, otherwise very nicely appointed. We'd go back.

Husband and I were on a New Years fishing trip and there were not many places in Maggie Valley open to eat. We went here concerned about our casual attire being appropriate for the restaurant. We were greeted at the door by the owner who make us feel like part of the family. The food and decor were exceptional and... More

A friend and I stopped here after spending the day at Harrah's. It was after Christmas and the place was beautifully decorated. They had the largest tree I have ever seen. They weren't very busy when we arrived so I could not figure out why the service was so slow. I didn't think it was our waitress fault and she... More
