Went for dinner and were happy with the meal and service-good but not outstanding. The margaritas were amazing. Table side guacamole was delicious. Little pricey.

We loved going to the old church in Mooresville and enjoying the upscale Hispanic dinners, the restaurant move to lake Norman and still serves very good food. It just is not as much of a date night place anymore. Excellent food!

Expand your idea of Mexican! My favorite, Marbella:Shrimp, crabmeat, tomato, green onion, ancho rajas, Monterrey jack cheese, wrapped in a flour tortilla. Served with cilantro rice, julienne vegetables. Plus many other Mexican/Central American delights. Yum! I77NC Exit 33, 1 mi NNW.

This was my third visit to this restaurant, and it was quite a disappointment. The first visit was excellent, the second so-so and this time was a disappointment. The food was mediocre at best, the cost was very expensive for the two of us, especially because there were no bar items. The only thing good about the experience was the... More

This place changes my stereotyped impression and introduces a new definition of Mexican food. The restaurant is located by the lake but sun has already set when we arrived. I am told it has an excellent patio. Follow the recommendations and ordered the Mixiote de Borrego. It is so tender and juicy. Our server is great and attentive at the... More

Staying in the town of Mooresville as we are considering relocating here from Ohio. Prickly Pear was on the hotel list of restaurants, so I looked online and find wonderful reviews. How could we not check out this upscale Mexican spot. It's on Lake Norman, but since it was dark we couldn't see the lake, but sat close to the... More

Best Quality modern Mexican food in Mooresville. All fresh ingredients, superb quality in all they serve. Guacamole is made at your table, it doesn't get any better. Specialty drinks can't be beat! Great service contributes to a fine experience!

There are certainly better Mexican restaurants in this area but they do offer some unique dishes. Probably will not go back.

We went to Prickly Pear for lunch today with the recommendation friends who had lunch there before. We sat outside under the umbrella enjoying the lake view. The food was delicious, the presentation was perfect. We will have to go and try other items on the menu. I have not felt like this for any other restaurant around Charlotte. We... More

The atmosphere was odd -- they tried to come off somewhat fancy but were also neglectful. There was only 4 other families there but it took a long time to have our order taken, receive the order, and to receive the check. Also, these are not options you typically see in most other Mexican restaurants -- many options that none... More
