We had Thanksgiving Dinner at the Chelsea and the choices were just fine. Both had the elk chops just for a change. Mine was perfectly done (on the rare side), nice and hot. My husband's was barely warm so he sent it back (no problem) and it returned just right. BUT...that should not have happened. Yes, it was a busy... More

Heard rave reviews from people about this restaurant. So glad we tried it--it did not disappoint. My husband tried the "cheesecake". It was delicious! Not being as adventurous I had the chicken bruscheta. Equally delicious! Also had the crab soup---rich and yummy!!

This was our first trip to New Bern and we lucked out trying The Chelsea. Food was outstanding. Crab soup was the best I've had. I had the Coral Shrimp pasta for lunch and it was excellent. Service was also good. We ate upstairs, nice atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

This is probably one of two maybe three high-end restaurants in the area. Good quality sea food items. Wait staff was super patient with me. Positives: food taste/quality Negatives: still a bit pricey, bar area feels cramped. Overall, a good experience

Didn't get what I wanted. My entrée was not edi le...hard as a rock. They didnt compensate me for it either. I went three times...giving them a chance to redeem themselves and no...they did not. In fact, I thought the wait staff was rude.

Came here for dinner with family and it was wonderful. The service and food was really good. Ordered the Horseradish Salmon with risotto and it was very good. Loved the atmosphere of this place as well! We will be back!

For me, The Chelsea is an extension of my home. Chris and his family know what they're doing and they do it well. I rarely use a menu. It's all good, all the time. My favorite starter is the barbecued shrimp and grits. All their soups hit the mark. Another favorite is the roasted Brussel sprout salad with blackened salmon.... More

Disappointed in the food, but the ambiance and waitstaff were good. Sent back the french onion soup because it was too salty, but the waiter and manager were quick to offer a replacement.

Something for everyone! The butter brown chicken and grits dish was delicious. The horseradish salmon was also perfectly good with just the right amount of seasoning!
