A quaint little place in the middle of no where! The brisket is good and the owner is a unique person to talk with about Elvis Presley and New York City!

Magnificent food, one of those restaurants hidden away in a small town. Absolutely recommend! Our family highly recommend this restaurant! Great restaurants in the little town of Newland, N.C. If you are anywhere in the Banner Elk, Boone, Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain area, you must check the restaurants out in Newland!

Got an over the top welcome by everyone but it is not for shy. Food was ok comfort type. Prices a little high for what it was but it was a fun place.

This is a small restaurant, but the food is delicious. The servers are friendly, and the food arrives in a timely manner. Lots of locals, as well as visitors frequent this restaurant. They do no have an alcohol license, but you can bring your own if you choose. Quiche is always great, salads are good, and the chicken livers are... More

Contracted this restaurant to cater a Lasagna dinner for our club and it was the best Lasagna in this area. It was so good we had another dinner catered this past Summer.

Food was amazing. I had the chicken salad with tons of fresh veggies & fruits. Husband had the pastrami sandwich w crinkle fries. We... More

After a long chilly morning of sightseeing my husband & I started looking for a restaurant that we had been to before, but then spotted the Mason Jar Cafe - and it looked warm & inviting so we decided to give it a try - and we're SO glad we did! The ambiance was warm & inviting and the staff... More

The food continues to be good here, and salad presentation is especially well done. Service was warm, friendly and good. The newer owners are pretty uninhibited when it comes to conversation, and it can impact the experience when the content of the nearby conversation gets loud and personal. Perhaps there is a fine line between friendly and too personal.
