Stopped for lunch at this place while on a day trip to Ocracoke. We were a party of 4; our meal choices ranged from seafood to just a salad. All 4 meals were very good. The only problem with this restaurant is that other than the daily specials the menu is here is very limited. Most entrees are creations of... More

Dajio (short for Doug and Judy in Ocracoke) is a nice enhancement to the dining experience in Ocracoke. This place has been open for 4-5 years, and they continue to refine its offerings and decor. They do have outside dining, but we prefer to dine indoors to avoid bugs. During our most recent visit, we came to Dajio tired on... More

Was recommended by a local , so we decided to give it a try. Disappointed in that two of the main entrees on the menu not available; the scallops and the ny strip.Food a little pricey. Our dinners were okay but we ask for some of the spicy ingredients not to be included because my spouse has trouble with spices.... More

Hands down best restaurant on the island! Don't waste your time going anywhere else! Fried green pimento sandwich is a must as well as the fish tacos! Can't talk it up enough!!!

Great food, meal selections and service. Dajio has a nice outside seating area as well and is open later than some other place which was great for those late night diners. The food was great, and if you are fried green tomato fan, their sandwich is a must try.

The food was very good although the wait staff was a little confused about whose table was whose. Beautiful shady, breezy spot, but the parking isn't great.

They serve all three meals each day and they do all well. Moderately priced with an especially filling breakfast. We ate here before hitting the beach. Grilled pizza is also delicious. We took some home to our rental one evening.

Husband and I visited for early dinner. Every table was full, so we thought that a good sign. Unfortunately, that meant it was also incredibly loud. Service was slow, and the waitress seemed apathetic, making no recommendations. However, we did appreciate the willingness of the kitchen to make slight accommodations to the menu. The crab and shrimp appetizer dip was... More

We ate here for breakfast and the service and food were awesome! Our waitress was super friendly, and she gave us suggestions on what to do on the island. Also, when she found out we lived only a few hours away, she told us about other things that happen on the island year round (Pirate parties at Halloween etc..). She... More
