Some friends invited us to dinner and said that this was a great place to dine. We all took advantage of the 3 Course Prix Fixe Menu. Our friends had the soup, my wife had the Caesar Salad, and I had the Fried Shrimp with fingerling potato salad. For entree's we all had something different. Our friends had the Grilled... More

If you want lively and trendy, this is your place. Unfortunately, there are no quiet tables and the whole place seems to reflect sound. Hearing-impaired patrons with hearing aids will have much difficulty with conversation because of the background din. The menu is uber-extensive, which may be why they're sometimes challenged to maintain consistent quality. My friend felt his fillet... More

I decided to try Margaux during restaurant week. They're on the list. However, the waiter assured me that the only reason they're on the list is because they offer a prix fixe menu every night, and that it wasn't really anything special. So, per his suggestion, probably a mistake and likely supported by management, I ordered the filet with roquefort... More

Although I live only 2 miles from Margaux's, I had not been there in quite a while. We used to come here once a month, but with so many choices in Raleigh, we found ourselves trying new restaurants. This visit reminded me of why We used to love it. I had the salmon. It was cooked to perfection, served with... More

We went to Margaux on a Saturday night, and we're glad we made reservations early as it fills quickly. One had french onion soup and shrimp salad, another had the steak dinner. The food here is really good; but unless you're made of money, this is a place you would only go to on occasion. The soup and salad cost... More

We dined at the restaurant for the first time because of positive reviews. We had a house salad, French Onion Soup, Triggerfish and Salmon. The salad was fresh and crisp and the onion soup among the best I have tasted. It was excellent with plenty of onions. The salmon was cooked medium and was delicious. I was extremely disappointed in... More

We ate at Margaux's this past weekend. We had not been there in years. Quite honestly, it was fantastic ! The ambiance, the decor, the menu and wine selections were all just great. The calamari was one of the best I've ever had, with three dipping sauces. The french onion soup was perfect. Not all broth with a few onions,... More

Went with a group of 9, at 7 on a Friday. We had reservations and we were seated promptly. Our waiter was so attentive, friendly, knowledgeable of the menu so we not only had a great time, we had one of the best meals ever!! The soup of the moment was Sweet Potato Bisque with Bacon Croutons and a swirl... More

We love Marguax's! We've dined outside, at the bar and in the main dining room. While the food was excellent every time, we definitely prefer (and recommend) sitting outside or at the bar. The bar has a lot of great energy and you don't feel rushed whatsoever. The staff is incredible and have great suggestions.

Margauxs is still one of the best kept secrets in Raleigh, tucked away in North Raleigh on Creedmoor Rd (easily accessible by 540), i fell in love with it years ago when the Rolling Stones dined there (if it's OK for Mick it is OK for me!) For me the allure is the 3 course prix fixe menu which is... More
