Although this is a BBQ chain, this particular restaurant does it right! The food is always spot on. We always sit at the bar and notice that there is NEVER a cup scooped through the ice, they ALWAYS use a scoop that is stored outside of the ice! (The little things impress me) The bartender CAN get distracted if they... More

We decided at the last minute to eat here, and not based on the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. The first clue was all the cars out front. Yes, it was busy and there was a wait of about twenty minutes. This seemed to be the after church crowd. The kitchen was behind, but the wait staff was pleasant and kept... More

Went in here on a whim as we were in the area and saw the sign. Parking in the strip mall was horrible but once a space was found it was well worth it. Ordered two kinds of ribs, Sweet and Glazed, veggies and beans. All were great. Had a cup of the Brunswick stew and was so good we... More

First visit & definitely worth the trip. Ancria (sp) was our server, he was very attentive & helpful. The menu had great choices & everything looked good, we were very surprised with the quality & amount he served & he kept the cornbread muffins coming. We got doggie boxes so we would have room for the Peanut Butter pie. Really... More

Great atmosphere. Family-friendly. Tons of history posted on walls. I love music history! Friendly, knowledgeable staff and great service. Food is always fresh, hot, tasty and portions good. Reasonably priced. It's the best smoked BBQ spot in the area!

Love, love, love this place! The bbq is out of this world, their salads are great and the onion loaf is to die for! Great place to go as a couple, as a family or as a large group. Go and enjoy yourself at soon as you can!

1st time to Red Hot & Blue and we were more than happy. Food was delicious, BBQ to everyone's liking, great condiments, beer(ice cold), servers friendly and happy, portions are large, prices are low...what more could a person ask for. Happy Happy Happy. Went away feeling, got to go back and soon.

My wife and I have been to RH&B many times and it was fine. She really likes the wings. But this time I made the unfortunate mistake of choosing the catfish and shrimp plate. It was a big mistake. The catfish was like a rubber coating on something with the consistency of fishy mashed potatoes. Somehow, i think they had... More

Red Hot and Blue is a full-service, casual-themed restaurant chain and caterer featuring delicious award-winning ribs, Memphis-style barbeque, smoked wings, and Southern sides and desserts. The atmosphere is steeped in legendary and contemporary blues music and delivers a large dose of Southern hospitality in a fun and entertaining dining environment. History: The first Red Hot and Blue restaurant opened in Arlington, Virginia in 1988, started by Lee Atwater, Don Sundquist and friends. Don Sundquist was from Memphis and served in the House of Representatives and as governor of Tennessee. The late Lee Atwater was an amateur blues musician and political figure that managed George H.W. Bush's successful race for the presidency. These men were friends who longed for authentic Memphis-style barbeque and great blues music. Unable to find that combination anywhere in the Washington, DC area they decided the only way to get it done was to open a restaurant of their own. The Memphis-style barbeque chain celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2013 by partnering with a charitable organization at 24 different restaurant locations. The yearlong celebration culminated in the presentation of thousands of dollars in donations to local charities. The Name: The name, "Red Hot and Blue" is taken from the title of D.J. Dewey Phillip's radio show that that aired on WHBQ-AM in Memphis, Tennessee in the 1950s. This radio show launched the careers of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash and broadened the audience for artists such as BB King, Muddy Waters, Robert Cray and Rufus Thomas. Red Hot & Blue Dine-In, Take-Out and Catering. Hickory-smoked Memphis-style BBQ, Ribs, Wings, Beef Brisket, Smoked Chicken, Seafood, Full-service Bar, in a Family-friendly atmosphere with a heapin' helpin' of Southern Hospitality!
