My date and I have eaten here a couple of times in the past four months. The food is excellent and the service, prompt and friendly. I like the comfortable restaurant space, mostly booths. (There is a fitness club upstairs, so from time to time diners will hear heavy barbells hitting the floor overhead!)

Really great food. This is the second year that we had our Thanksgiving Dinner catered from Q-Shack...Turkey was the best ever and all the sides including the dessert got raves from the whole family. Love it!!!!!

We went to the Q Shack last weekend while shopping at North Hills. We both ordered the pulled chicken sandwiches with sweet potato fries and fried okra as our sides. The pulled chicken was ok, but the vegetables were very good. The Q Shack is ok for a quick lunch, but I wouldn't make a special trip to eat there.

Expected more. Of the 4 meals we purchased, only one of us was happy. Food wasn't bad, but wasn't anything special. We won't go back.

The food overall was fine, I suppose. My biggest complaint were the onions in the macaroni and cheese. Is that a thing? Because it's a gross thing.

I came here on a friend's recommendation. I ordered the sandwich combo which comes with coleslaw, hush puppies and a side. The pulled pork sandwich was fine, the French fries were a little over spicey, cole slaw was not well flavored and the hush puppies were in a shape I've never seen before. This is counter service -- lots of... More

We have eaten here several times. It is decent fast food BBQ. It's easy to get in and out if you are going to a movie

Alright, look: this place is in the high rent district, so perhaps you can forgive them some for being a little on the pricey side. In general, the food is good. Pretty safe bets. Nothing really surprising. Down-home cooking. Portions are good; not huge but good. Might be a little heavy on the salt, but that should not surprise anyone,... More

Got 6 smoked wings, collard greens, hush puppies & a drink for $7.00! Great deal and a good hearty portion of food. Sauces are all vinegar based NC style, wings were big, juicy and crispy. Collards were simmered with delicious bacon. Hush puppies were crispy, sweet and oinion-y, very yummy. (Not Gluten Free tho, beware) Great brewed in-sweet tea, too... More

I used to love the Q Shack, but not anymore. Not only are the prices higher, but the food quality, lower. The brisket used to be a favorite, but I've found it more often fatty than not. And when you are paying by the pound, you don't want to pay for fat you throw away. Also, several times they have... More
