Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had an excellent meal here tonight. Difficult to get a table without a reservation but worth persevering with. We had whitebait, drowned (cooked in its own ink) octopus grilled amberjack, swordfish with figs and two pasta dishes including one with pesto Trapanese made with almonds....Everything was fresh, cooked really well and very tasty. We washed this down with a caramel panna cotta and 3 deconstructed cannolo. Not a scrap of food left tells its own story. Service was excellent too. Grazie Mille Trattoria Del CorsoMore

We were in Trapani for a week and stayed at the Gafada 2 in the old town. The closest restaurant, the Trattoria del Corso, was also our favorite and we had diner here three times during the week. The Trattoria offers all the traditional dishes...at good prices and also has seasonal and changing delights on the menu. In May it was high season for red tuna from the Mediterranean and during our two week stay in Sicily we tried different delicious dishes with the tuna. At the Trattoria del Corso we also had the traditional pasta ‘Busiate con pesto tapanese’ and my personal favorite ‘Spaghetti con vongole’, i.e. pasta with delicious small clams. The Trattoria del Corso in Trapani’s Corso Italia is highly recommended. The quality is high, the prices very reasonable and service is excellent. Booking a table in advance is always a good idea.More

Excellent fish cous cous. Nice service and a good quality-price ratio, what else? If you are in Trapani you should not miss it!

They are not even bothered to make business. Atmosphere in a restaurant starts with service. There is a lady I think she might be one of the owners. Went for a quick sharring lunch . Ordered an octopus salad and seafood couscous. This lady comes...and takes your plates away without even asking if you are finished then when she brought the couscous she explained how to eat it as soup comes aside and you need to mix it after you have pealed the fish. I wanted to eat the soup at the end so I added it into the plate . Then she made a comment to the couple next to us that ordered the same thing saying : "don't do like them adding the whole soup" . This comment put me off and couldn't even finish my meal. I have made a complain about her attitude , was not even offered a coffee or an icecream or or they could of taken off the bill cover charge ....nothing. They are too desperate about money! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT , THERE ARE LOADS OF OTHER GREAT ONES ON TEAPANI!More

We were welcomed here and had an evening meal. It was busy, the other diners were locals and the food was very rustic and Sicilian. Very simply served with rustic bread and local wine, but a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Not so good if...you want gluten free but enjoyable!More

This trattoria was recommended to us by the receptionist at our hotel and it certainly did not disappoint. We had the octopus salad and mussel soup to start. The mussels were incredible and the portion was hearty; with a divine broth! We both had the...specials-prawn and lemon risotto and seafood ravioli- accompanied by 1/2 litre of wine. The quality of the food was first class and the price wasn't bad either! We would definitely go back again; this is a must for seafood lovers.More

We stumbled on this late on a Monday night having almost given up on finding a place open. What a gem. We had caponata, orange&fennel salad, bucatini with aubergine and ricotta, bucatini with Trapanesi almond pesto washed down with a good Merlot. The staff were...most pleasant and welcoming, even driving us home when no taxi was available. It was my favourite meal after 2 weeks in Puglia and Sicily - simple ingredients, rustic home cooking, tasted fantastic. Highly recommend and will definitely go back if I visit Trapani againMore

Accidentally found this place as we were hungry and had to wait for a ferry to Levanzo. Place is reaaaaallllllyyyy close to port ,but doesn't look like restaurant from the outside. Obviously, eating always have been the best way how to spend your spare time and...I am so glad we came across this place. Had a delicious lunch that day and even when we were returning back from Levanzo - couldn't resist and went back for another round. Definitely a place I would recommend and hopefully I will have a chance to try some more of their deliciousness .More

One of the worst experience in my life. Starting from basics, like serving bread ... just bread. No olive, no balsamic.. nothing, except surprised faces of owner while we asked for that. Starter was just cold cocktail shrimps (no prawns as in many) with natural...yoghurt and not even roasted sunflower seeds. All totally wash out from any flavor. It was followed by grilled fish, which was just fried, bland piece of flash. Before they served we asked few times if is fried or grilled, how is served and if we can ask for some garlic and chili . Yeah, waiter brought some raw garlic and put next to my plate. After my explanation that we would like that fish grilled with garlic and chili . ... it came out with burned garlic and no taste plus fuss on face of whole stuff. All overpriced and simply not eatable .More

The pasta was excellent, with pesto made with almonds instead of pine nuts. The steak was also decent and the wine tasted good.

I'm not going to say it was the best food I ever had, but I will be back. The food we ordered was definitely local and the tastes was, well, different. Very strong tastes that required getting used to, but clearly well prepared. The menu...offered a lot of tantalizing choices, so if I can, I will be back for more.More

I ate in this place many times. During the years their services and food quality has been always really high. The restaurant is cosy even I prefer inside area than outside. It has a familiar atmosphere and the owners are friendly and available. It is...a perfect stop if you wanna try excellent local dishes. Fish is very fresh. You will find always seasonal dishes. Ask for advices.More
