Pine Creek is worth pulling off the Stuart Highway for. Pull into town and grab a meal at Mayse's. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of food I received at breakfast. Good value, good food and friendly service; what more could you ask for?

We stopped off here for breakfast after staying at Diggers Rest. Nice for breakfast (the only choice in town too) and no doubt for lunch as well.

Mayse's is open from breakfast to about 4.00 pm. So you will need to find somewhere else to have dinner. But the coffee is pretty good and the lunchtime offerings are tempting. I had roast beef and mixed vegetable bake for my lunch. It was a delicious and hearty meal. The next time I am passing through Pine Creek I... More

Surprisingly good coffee but fairly limited all day breakfast and lunch menu. Luckily they did have gluten free bread so we enjoyed poached eggs and baked beans. The mango chilli chutney is apparently very good but none left today - mango jam still available. Interesting selection of historical books for sale. Lovely young girl serving and friendly owner/manager making great... More

Stopped here with hubby and kids for lunch. Food was delicious. Kids had their specialty Mango Smoothie and loved it. They also loved the fact that the breakfast menus went all day (as did the lunch menu!!). The pancakes were out of this world - best I have had. Price was on the high side, but that's what you get... This is a good place to have breakfast in a rather remote area. It has simple seatings inside and outside. You order the food inside and it is delivered to you when it is ready. We had a usual scrambled eggs and a omelette with some coffee. The portions were large and the food was OK, what you expect in... More

We stopped at this cafe twice, for breakfast, between Katherine and Darwin. Both times we ordered bacon and eggs and cappuccinos - I had a asked especially that the cappuccinos not be too hot. The first visit the place was very busy so a small wait for our food was acceptable. The eggs and bacon were good. However the eggs... More

British staff were not interested in simple courtesy of greeting etc ...just a plain average cafe..coffee slopped into cup.. Its not that difficult to be nice to people.. Food was fine.

Stumbled across this cafe whilst refueling across the road and what a surprise. The staff were great and always greeted you with a smile. We decided to have lunch and I ordered the fish (threadfin salmon) & chips and it was a dream I also has one of their specialties mango smoothie which was also great my partner had a... More
