An impromtu trip to the beach landed us in Southport. Looking to eat at a favorite restaurant on the waterfront, we decided that was not going to happen when we learned of the long wait time. So we decided to go up the street to see what other restaurants may be available. That's when we found Ports of Call Bistro.... More

My fried oysters were great but my friend thought her meal was bland. The salad was good. We came with a group of friends and everybody was eating their meal and I had to remind them I had not been served. I had 2 drinks and the bill was $53. No, next time it's Oliver's.

Uniquely delicious. Great dining with a quaint feel. Food was very impressive. They also have specials that are out of this world delicious. The open faced pork chop was amazing. I got the fried chicken sandwich and my husband got the fish tacos. We split onion straws and they were spicy and the dipping sauce was chipotle mayo. Would highly... More

The special of the day was a quiche served with a salad and it was excellent! My husband ordered pork tenderloin medallions from the menu and he really enjoyed it too! There were some really great sounding menu items so we decided we will go back!

The restaurant decor is lovely. I especially enjoyed the maps that are part of the table tops. Our welcome was friendly and the service was efficient but not rushed. We were given plenty of time to chat even though the place was quite busy. The restaurant has a a good wine list and the food was excellent. Lots of choices.... More

Ports of Call is a somewhat unique restaurant in Southport because they offer wonderful dishes that are not fried. The curry chicken salad at Sunday Brunch was among the best we have had. The scrambled eggs were relatively fluffy and moist - a rear find in many restaurants. The dinner menu is extensive, including tapas. The wine menu is decent,... More

I was impressed with the variety of entrees this restaurant had! Our food was nicely presented and very tasty! Only complaint was the bar bill-- drinks tasted a bit watered down. Overall -- good experience!

Server at first rushed us to order even though restaurant was not full by any means. She got better but still wasn't friendly. Food was okay, nothing to write home about. The chicken salad w/avocado was best dish we had

After some difficulty finding a place to eat in this off season, we stumbled upon Ports of Call. It's a cozy little house with an extensive menu. Always in search of gluten free options, I was able to order a delicious curried chicken and pecan salad with avocado, as well as a small salad. Curry dishes can often be overly... More

I have had some good meals there years ago, but usually something on the menu is not available. I took my family there for Christmas Eve for the second time. It was a price fixed menu. Appetizer was great. She crab soup was great. Entrees and dessert were average at best. Based on the price I do not think I... More
