Over priced. Over rated. To spicy. Was very clear to waitress that the $35 piece of meat had to be medium. It was not. Was met with sorry. Later offered a desert. I'm diabetic. No thanks. No discount. Better places in Waynesville. Want be back.

If we want to go somewhere special in Waynesville, Frogs Leap is always our first choice. We LOVE the food which is unique, well presented and very tasty. My husband and I always share their Devils on Horseback as an appetizer. Their menu changes from time to time and they buy fresh food. Their drinks are well mixed too. Saying... More

Waynesville is a small town in the mountains of North Carolina with several excellent restaurants including Frogs Leap. We received a warm welcome from the host and our server Neville was excellent. Wine prices by the bottle are very reasonable. We ordered the Parmesan truffle fries to start and shared the arugula salad. The tuna tartare in the small plates... More

Went with a group at Valentines, great service. They offered a special for two, plus champagne which was awesome. Great local fare.

I rarely if ever give 5 star reviews. However when my wife and I visited FLPH we were greeted warmly and made to feel at home. We had reservations and arrived early so our table wasn't ready so we headed to the bar. My wife tried the winter sangria it was so good I myself had to order me one.... More

My husband and I have eaten here on several occasions--holidays with friends, celebrations--we have never had a bad meal or poor service. The food is excellent and the service is perfect. We celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary last night and, again, no complaints. We highly recommend Frogs Leap to our customers and friends. Thank you, Frogs Leap, for another wonderful... More

Tonight, we had dinner with friends. It was a last-minute thing, and we chose Frogs Leap Public House for a new experience. What a fantastic meal. For openers, three of us had salads that were collectively described as 'the best salad ever', and the 'everything gumbo', which was enough on its own to warrant our return. Dinner saw the monkfish... More

I'm sure this place fits the bill for many people and the atmosphere is quite nice, but most everyone in our group had somewhat tasteless food served slightly warm. Restaurants was only half full so don't understand why. We don't plan on returning, there are too many less expensive places that serve flavorful food near by.

We are well heeled and know great food. We have eaten at 4&5 star restaurants all over the South. The atmosphere is excellent, Southern style with an elegant twist, many unique dishes. Loved it so much we returned for lunch the next day. You won't be disappointed.

Description
A Unique Farm to Fork Experience: Innovative Southern Food with a Local Backbone & Home Grown Libations

Frogs Leap Public House is a farm to table country pub at the corner of Church and Montgomery Streets, built in 1918 as the southeast's first Buick dealer just one block south of Main in the heart of historic downtown Waynesville. FLPH is focused on the culture, art, music, wine, beer and especially the food of Western North Carolina.

Like the City of Waynesville itself, FLPH is Southern down to its roots, but draws influences from around the world. The food is fresh and local, the libations are home grown, the music is American and has a beat. FLPH is home to a family with a passion for serving world class food, wine, and spirits in a soulful, comforting atmosphere.
