Great way to start my vacation. Fairly short jaunt from the airport. I'm from Minnesota, so dining outside the end of November is a real treat. The food was great. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits - but I have to admit the ratio of sausage to shrimp was off. I got 5 small shrimp and a ton of... More

After having dinner at Pilot House the day after Thanksgiving, and having an unfavorable opinion of this restaurant, I wrote (something I've not done before) , using their website, to tell them of my bad experience and how it should/could have been avoided with a little training. I felt I was being constructive. They did not have the courtesy to... More

We had our Thanksgiving Dinner at the Pilot House in Wilmington NC. Reservations are a must! It was very crowded. Not a good place for anyone who has difficulty hearing as it is quite noisy. Service is good. It is prompt and courteous. The food was disappointing. The turkey, potatoes and stuffing were very dry. Gravy was very helpful. Portion... More

Had fried scallops, cole slaw, fries. The scallops were small, oily-tasting bay scallops. Don't know how old slaw has to be to lose it's flavor, but this stuff tasted entirely like generic emulsified oil. Nice view, attentive service, but the food was lackluster. Perhaps the dinner menu is better.

My wife and stopped here for lunch while visiting Wilmington. There is ample free parking and a nice view of the Intracoastal Waterway. Lawson, our server, was second to none. He was extremely polite and kind. Lawson anticipated our needs and never let our drinks run dry. We also recommend splitting the bread pudding. It was out of this world.

I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday night and it was fairly quiet. The views from this place are great! It is at the far end of the boardwalk and the corner restaurant. I had the Shrimp and Lobster Newburg and it was fantastic. I would definitely visit this place again.

If you want a REAL seafood restaurant then this is YOUR place! Wow. It's located off of a cobblestone street at the end of the Riverwalk. The view is to DIE for- so much so that we sat outside on their gorgeous, large deck that overlooked the water. We went on Halloween 2016 for our honeymoon. Due to it being... More

Sitting on the deck overlooking the Cape Fear River on a sunny afternoon with good food & service - it doesn't get much better.

I have lived in Wilmington for a little over a year, and this ends up being one of my top 3 restaurants in Wilmington. There are some inconveniences, but I always bring my company here. The menu is reasonably extensive and they do have rotating specials. My favorite is traditionally local grouper, and they often have that. My wife likes... More

Took my husband for a birthday lunch and all of our dishes were excellent! We started with lobster mac and cheese and the Woodford Manhattan for my husband. My daughter had shrimp and grits—flavor was terrific and the collards were some of the best we've eaten. My husband had the crab cake, and it was seasoned perfectly. I had fried... More
