I always look forward to going to the Winkler Bakery. It is hundreds of years old, and still works. It is especially fun at Christmas time. They use very old recipes and natural ingredients. It has that heavenly smell, as you enter the front door....More

We love the sugar cake and chocolate chip cookies. If you go upstairs they serve drinks and coffee. There is also a clean restroom upstairs as well. Great place for an authentic Moravian snack.

Not a restaurant but an 18th century bakery. Try the sugar cake, old Salem is known for that. Great place to stop while visiting Old Salem.

Part of the original Moravian settlement. Historically costumed staff bake sugar cookies and sugar cake in a wood fired oven. All the goodies and more are available for purchase. Don’t miss the paper thin ginger cookies or sugar cake.

When you visit Old Salem a visit to this bakery is a must. We tried the cheese stars from the discount shelf and they were fine. But the cookies were great especially the chocolate chip.

Every time we visit Old Salem the bakery is a tradition. The Ginger Snap Cookies are great and we always get enough to have them at Christmas time!
