Arrived at the Swan warm homely entrance and a smiley welcome from bar staff . We were given menu and drinks were promptly bought to the table . Food ordered - spotted a dirty pint glass which was quickly changed by polite obliging staff. Food arrived bin good time . Tasty and enjoyable. Upon leaving staff thanked us for our... More

Used to meet friends for a meal and a get together, untill oct 2016 when we had a very bad meal. Thought we would give them another chance, and I am glad we did, what a difference. Log burning fires, so nice atmosphere, happy friendly staff, and good honest food, we were all happy, and shall meet again next month.

I attended here on NYE. At £15 a ticket I was slightly disappointed as to what was on offer. Fireworks and food were good however very limited, however the band that was playing were good. The only saving grace what the young man on the bar. Think his name was Matt. He was friendly and nothing was too much to... More

I can honestly say this was by far the worst meal we have ever had the misfortune to eat! The veg arrived first and to our horror looked like it had been hanging around the kitchen for hours, broccoli looked tired and had lost any semblance of colour or taste carrots the same green beans limp and tasteless absolutely vile!... Went in for a quiet pint and something to eat. Staff are very good and the beer is well priced and well kept. Didn't think the food was up to much to be honest. I had a steak sandwich and the meat was extremely chewy.

Not been for a while but pleased to see the changes of the child's play area, much improved and a lot safer! The pub itself had not changed at all and still retains the oldey worldy feel that I like. It has a log fire which was obviously not lit as the outside temperature was too warm. The menu itself... More

This is the first time I have left a review on TripAdvisor but felt that disgusted with the quality of the meals, I felt the need to share. This is most definitely the worst pub I have eaten out at! The service was mediocre but the food was terribly overpriced for the quality. We were a family of four, eating... More

At 2.30 on a saturday afternoon a drink and food should not have been too difficult. To start, the bar staff were talking to each other and another customer and found me invisible. They weren't sure if food was available but did find a menu. I then had a lesson on drinks and told that ginger ale was, in fact,... More

I have been here a few times in the past and been very pleased. Visited yesterday for the first time in a couple of months. There is a new menu and no longer a 2 for £10 offer. The Sunday carvery also seems to have been discontinued. I cannot comment on the quality or value as we did not stay... More
