Wonderful country pub with a lovely fireplace and charm about it. Efficient friendly service and excellent food.

Sometimes local country pubs can feel like something out of American Werewolf. This was not like that. Friendly staff and clientele. A darts challenge taking place with big plates of sausage rolls. Good beer and nice wine. We didn’t eat but the food looked good.

Seen the signs for the pub on the way to Cornwall and stopped for lunch, glad we did. Great food and service, the pie was a proper pie, good quality meat and good pastry, the wife enjoyed her seafood chowder. Will definitely stop again next...More

WE are dog friendly inside and outside. We do request that dogs do not go in the flower beds. There is no dress code. Booking is recommended.

A classic thatched country pub and restaurant, the Old Thatch Inn is in Cheriton Bishop, just off the A30, halfway between Exeter and Okehampton. Our basic menu is usually supplemented by a wide range of specials and utilises local produce wherever practical.
