This is a great in-between if you can't decide between pub-style and finer dining. Service was the best we had in 5 days at sun peaks. The menu is very unique, very German, and very very tasty. Only downside is $$$, but you get quite a good product for what you spend!

Very good food . Excellent service . Nice decor . This is a very comfortable place for an evening out. Had the beet salad as a starter and a baked chicken dish with pasta . Chicken served hot and was tasty.

Very nice pub style restaurant. Make sure to make a reservation as Sun Peaks doesn't have a large variety of places to eat on a Friday or Saturday night. The portions were good and the service was prompt.

Nice restaurant, pleasant staff, good food, no waiting time to get a table or waiting for our meals. Enjoyable time

The food was good but the atmosphere was so noisy we could barely hear each other. The red cabbage was very good. It seemed odd to walk by the orders ready for the tables. Make a reservation.

Had 2 weeks at Sun Peaks in February, Powder Hounds was our favorite restaurant. Just had a great relaxed feel about it. The service was very friendly and quick. The food amazing. Great menu options, my husband loved their steaks. I even enjoyed a beer or two. We went to every other restaurant in town, and this was the one... More

Nice food, pleasant surroundings and friendly staff make for an enjoyable meal. Make bookings early - arrive before 6pm and there may be a surprise in the meal cost!

We had the schneitzel dishes and it was good; not great. The caesar salad was big but not tasty. There are better restaurants in town.

A lot of the menu options are quite greasy; the schnitzel is marketed as a selling point but it's really not the best thing on the menu. Some of the meat dishes are tastier. Service is good, and friendly, but not top-notch - although to be fair we were there early in the ski season and our server was new.... More

Friends of ours had been to Powder Hounds previously and raved about the food, so we were expecting a top feed. What we got was average food combined with very good service. My wife had the Schnitzel which was dry and quite unappetizing, while I had medium rare steak (12oz) that was closer to being well done than what I... More
