We went there around 1:30 pm. This was August 2018. It was very busy. We ordered their fish and chips, and it was very tasty and fulfilling. This restaurant is very close to the scenic caves.

Right on the Bay of Fundy, this place turns out good meals of haddock, chips and coleslaw. Staff are great and prices are reasonable. Delicious.

Staff are very accommodating...especially If a vegetarian or travelling with pets. My Schnauzer is cooked a hamburger pattie...no seasoning...and it’s no trouble at all! Many of the wraps, and burger can be made meatless.....I love this place! The menu is pricey....for a picnic table place...but...More

Their chowder is loaded with all kinds of seafood, delicious and thick and filling. Actually could be world's best. Best I've ever had, for sure. And, a fantastic view of the Bay of Fundy. Common stop for all tour buses, but others can be seated...More

No, I've never heard of anyone needing a reservation. It can be a busy spot but it can also accommodate a large crowd. Enjoy your visit.

After Thanksgiving, the Caves restaurant is open only when cruises dock in the Saint John harbour. If definitely closes for the season early November (when cruises season ends as well). It re-opens early May.
