Our recent visit to the Atlantic Restaurant had mixed results. The chowder and haddock were pretty good, but my wife's caesar salad was pretty bland. The onion soup that she ordered, however, was too salty to enjoy. Service was O.K., but sometimes a little hard to find. The fiddler and singer providing the entertainment that evening were quite good. We... More

Based on the reviews here I literally declined to go there. One night we were too tired to drive and we gave it a shot. 15 CAD for a burger are ok. It was a pleasant surprise. The burger was good. Not very good but you get reasonably priced food and will not leave hungry. Two things were a real... More

My wife and I had dinner here. We thought it would be good. The atmosphere felt like a cheap Marriott hotel. There was a Scottish singer but he was on break as much as he was singing! The food was not very good. My pan fried haddock was so small and thin! I would get better from my local supermarket... More

During our 5 days traveling around Cape Breton Island, this was by far the best food and no more expensive. We finally got the green salad we were craving! The spinach salad was awesome as was the chicken sandwich. The whiskey potato soup one could only dream to reproduce in their own kitchen. Hats off to the chef. Not to... More

We got in from the Cabot trail and were starving we understand mostly everything closes around 9 or just before so we promptly got ready and headed the short drive to coastal in ingonish and they were closed (just after 8) so we went to Main Street restaurant it was 8:25 and they were closed (their website says 9pm) and... We stopped in for lunch on the weekend & very impressed with our meal. Their soup of the day was delicious & our hamburgers were great especially the portobello mushroom burger. Service was fantastic, the view is beautiful & the raspberry mojito is to die for!!! Hope to get back there again on our next trip to Cape Breton.

While driving the Cabot Trail we decided to stop here for lunch because of its connection to the historic Keltic Lodge. The view from the restaurant was great. It sits high above the water. The food was very good too. If you are driving the Cabot Trail this place is worth leaving the main road and driving up to the... More

Went here for supper. Popped in first to take a look at their menu, as some places like this can be overpriced ( they had decent prices), and they were great. He advised me to come back before 7 as it fills up fast due to live entertainment & he wasn't kidding, we were eating dessert at 7 and the... More

This is one of the 3 restaurants located within the Keltic Lodge Resort and I believe it’s the “middle of the road” one (not too fancy and not pub/ lounge food). Had dinner here one day in late June (mid-week) and they had live music on, which was very nice. We had their fish and chips and a vegetarian portobello... More

Stopped for lunch at this lovely spot overlooking golf course and water. We first saw this from a scenic pullout on the Cabot Trail. As we then entered the park, we asked at the booth where to eat lunch. They suggested this restaurant. It was sunny and breezy. We chose to eat outside. Beautiful view. Enjoyed our lunch and rested... More
