We liked the ambience, the location the service. Very good food, way to slow presented, pricy for quantity.

We ended up here when other plans fell through (we planned the trip too late to secure reservations at other restaurants and everything closes early in the valley). Though we did not have reservations, the host informed us that we could eat at the bar but warned that the service would be slow and location not ideal. We didn't know... More

This was our second visit to Laja, unfortunately our will most likely be our last. The food was delicious we had the four course dinner menu and the least favourite was dessert , the pine nut and pistacchio financier, it was too "cakey",but presentation was lovely. When we arrived we didn't feel greeted,in spite of having a reservation. Service leaves... More

This restaurant is really a unique experience in the middle of Guadalupe Valley, the place is this little white house, super well maintained and cozy, the service is good and the only thing is that they need to know a little better what are the components of the dishes; about the food it self, the chef has very good technics... I can't rave enough about our experience here at Laja. A group of friends (10 of us in all) came here on a Wednesday evening. Besides one table of a couple, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves for the entire night. We had a 7 course meal and it was really fantastic. The service was really fabulous as well.... More

We love their tasting menus and their mint mescal drinks. The food is right out of the garden and staff very friendly

Laja was going to be one of the highlights of our trip to Valle de Guadalupe. We went there for dinner and we were disappointed all-in-all. We chose the 4-course dinner. The first was good but the rest were not well prepared and ill-presented. The toilets were dirty. Towels spread all over the floor and the liquid soap thrashed on... More

We have heard about LAJA for years, but somehow we never got the dining experience...we tried several times, and the restaurant was either not open or completely booked. This time we went on a Wednesday hoping to get a table and it worked! In fact it was great, there was no diners yet, and we had 3 waiters serving us.... More

This is the original fine dining establishment in the Valle De Guadalupe and it is still going strong. They serve a rather international tasting menu, sourced from local farms, and accompanied by a short selection of the region's best wines. The entire setting is elegant and refined. Service is excellent and the place is relatively small, so you shouldn't have... More

Recently four of us enjoyed a great dinner here. The food was well done although we didn't love the wines paired with our four course meal. Everyone likes something different in wines, so it wasn't a big deal. Some reviewers did not like the decor, but I thought it was fine. We really appreciated the freshness and inventiveness of each... More

In Laja cooking wine region of Baja California is brewing . Over the years we have achieved the magical space that sums up the essence of Valle de Guadalupe ; Natural and simple elegance of where tastes and feelings so deep and clear capriciously endure over time arise . We offer a set menu that changes every day. The backbone of our kitchen is our own garden . The vegetable is our thermometer , our clock and our reference . We ranks and season ( not all years are equal). At your own pace , from vegetables , sprouts , herbs and seasonings our menu comes alive . The nearby Pacific Ocean offers great and always surprising ingredients and producers of cheese , oils and meats from the region deeply grounded our offer.
