Had the tasting menu here on the recommendation of a friend and it was phenomenal. Four courses + thoughtfully paired wines from the restaurant's own label for ~$50 USD. The ambiance is stark and clean, feels like you are more in an estancia of Argentina than the Valle, but with all the delicious food and wine, not sure that's even... More

Nice place...very full of norteamericanos. They didn't even need a sign. Our dinners were inconsistent- some outstanding dishes, some not. Wine choices were very special. Suggest you let your server help in choosing.

We went to some local winerys, decided to have lunch at Lajas, just off the main road. Walked in, several people already there having lunch. What I like is their menu is what's in season and available, so it changes all the time. It a husband and wife team, and she grows the herbs and veggies, it's always fresh. Lunch... More

Laja reminds me of being in Napa Valley 20 years ago. All of the food is locally grown and sourced and is delicious. We had the 4 course tasting menu with wine pairings and for the quality of the food was a steal-deal. The wine was so good that we bought several bottles to take with us. The service was... More

We liked the ambience, the location the service. Very good food, way to slow presented, pricy for quantity.

We ended up here when other plans fell through (we planned the trip too late to secure reservations at other restaurants and everything closes early in the valley). Though we did not have reservations, the host informed us that we could eat at the bar but warned that the service would be slow and location not ideal. We didn't know... More

This was our second visit to Laja, unfortunately our will most likely be our last. The food was delicious we had the four course dinner menu and the least favourite was dessert , the pine nut and pistacchio financier, it was too "cakey",but presentation was lovely. When we arrived we didn't feel greeted,in spite of having a reservation. Service leaves... More

This restaurant is really a unique experience in the middle of Guadalupe Valley, the place is this little white house, super well maintained and cozy, the service is good and the only thing is that they need to know a little better what are the components of the dishes; about the food it self, the chef has very good technics... I can't rave enough about our experience here at Laja. A group of friends (10 of us in all) came here on a Wednesday evening. Besides one table of a couple, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves for the entire night. We had a 7 course meal and it was really fantastic. The service was really fabulous as well.... More

We love their tasting menus and their mint mescal drinks. The food is right out of the garden and staff very friendly

Description
In Laja cooking wine region of Baja California is brewing . Over the years we have achieved the magical space that sums up the essence of Valle de Guadalupe ; Natural and simple elegance of where tastes and feelings so deep and clear capriciously endure over time arise . We offer a set menu that changes every day. The backbone of our kitchen is our own garden . The vegetable is our thermometer , our clock and our reference . We ranks and season ( not all years are equal). At your own pace , from vegetables , sprouts , herbs and seasonings our menu comes alive . The nearby Pacific Ocean offers great and always surprising ingredients and producers of cheese , oils and meats from the region deeply grounded our offer.
