A little off the beaten path, but worth it. Food was delicious and service was very good. The filet was tender. The pasta dishes tasted so fresh.

Que Onda is a bit off the beaten path, tucked away in North Akumal near the Yal-Ku Lagoon. But I think it's worth the trip for the delicious pastas. I know I get a bit tired of Mexican fare—or the American food you pick up on the quick at the Lol-Ha snack bar and the like—when I'm in Akumal for... More

We have vacationed in Akumal for many years and have eaten at Que Onda every time we have come. Sad to say, this will be our last time for this restaurant. While the food was good, the service was abominable, especially considering we and one other couple were the only people in the place. My mojito did not have enough... More

We were in Akumal for 6 nights and ate at Que Onda 3 nights. Homemade pasta and they will make just about any pasta dish you want. My son wanted alfredo sauce with shrimp so they made it for him. The Mexican flag pasta dish is really good since it has shrimp, poblanos peppers, and it's served in a cream... More

This restaurant was a short walking distance from our summer rental. The pasta was fantastic as were the seafood eggrolls. Everyone in our large party enjoyed their meal. Also the Tirimisu and the chocolate cake were to die for.

We ate brunch at Que Onda, which we stumbled upon on our walk toward Yalku Lagoon. It's located on the north end of Half Moon Bay just a few minutes walk from the lagoon (on the jungle side of the road). The food and service were very good and the ambiance is wonderfully peaceful and pleasant. The venue is mostly... More

One night we didn't want to hop in the car and travel several kilometers to a restaurant and we found this jewel just a few blocks away. It is Italian cuisine at night and they they do a really good job of it. Most are pasta dishes and some include seafood as you would expect right on the coast; although... More

We had eight of us come here after snorkeling for a couple of hours. The food was good, and a pretty decent value for what you got. This is the type of place you could easily pass up on the road and not even realize it was there. I would suggest giving it a try. Lunch was good and refreshing.... More

We ate at the torta stand 3 times for lunch and had tacos on Sunday. The tortas were top notch and the guy at the register was fun. He loved explaining each type. My son said the hamburger was the best be had in Mexico. You can't miss taco Sunday.

Thank Bob F
