Lovely pub, with nice food and friendly service. Would recommend a visit for food, there isn't much seating for just a drink.

We ate here soon after it had opened and were seriously unimpressed (as reviewed). Decided to give it another try and it was so much better! Sunday roast sat outside on a wonderful sunny day. Service was friendly and quick, food was excellent. Starters of...More

After a late afternoon walk with our Labrador, Harry, we went to the Red Lion for dinner - a first-time visit, as we're not local. The bar is fronted by a part-frosted-glass screen - quite unusual and attractive. Bar service was friendly and then sat...More

We'd been out for the day and on the way home we diverted through Coleshill to get out of a traffic jam. As it was approaching 6pm we popped into the Red Lion which was just about to open up for the evening. The owner...More

We enjoyed a beautiful circular walk from the Red Lion then sat outside making the most of the pretty garden on a gorgeous summer evening on Saturday. It got a little cool after we'd had a drink and our starters but it was no problem...More

Great looking pub but severely understaffed. Long queues for drinks and the food took forever we had to ask twice when it was coming. Slightly over priced for the food once we got it and they had run out of the side dishes so just...More

Hi Tim, Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately our chef was not with us due to illness and Roger and myself have been covering during the absence. Needless to say we did the best we could serving 85 lunches in a couple of hours. We hope...More

After a service at the Amersham crematorium, I held a ‘party’ for 30 people in the Red Lion (just over a mile away). Prior to the event, Barney, the manager, discussed my proposals and could not have been more amenable. The Red Lion has a...More

Popped in here for a quick bite to eat on our way back from conducting a funeral in the area. Lovely reception from the lady behind the bar (and up for a bit of leg pulling I think.) All four of us opted for the...More

Had a great meal with very good service and a friendly dog that my son made friends with. The host was a very interesting gentleman with lots to discuss from shooting in Scotland to this time in Hollywood. Good to see the village pub doing...More
