It seems appropriate on Halloween to offer to 'die for' cheese scones (that actually taste of cheese)! All the staff kitted out in a Transylvanian theme...which I was slow to spot! A lovely place for solo or friends. Lovely.

I recently worked from here and did their "work deal" which is unlimited free hot drinks (strangely not diet coke), a lunch meal and you can stay as long as you like for £19.50. Lovely atmosphere and great place to work from. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only nitpick would be cakes looked all 'healthy' which is fine for some but I fancied a treat and they all looked small for the price. I also think that the eggs Benedict was good but a few more generous sized lunch options would be good. I just sound greedy now 😂. Will be back to work and have lunch. A great asset to St Neots and loads of lovely art on display to buy too, worth a visit for Xmas gifts perhaps?

Had great breakfast here. Super friendly staff and good service considering the place was heaving. Will definitely be eating here more often. Also one of the first restaurants locally to announce helping out with free children's meals over the school holiday break, so happy to support a local independent business every time. Plus the coffee is very good and the breakfast bagel, awesome. Good vegan and veggie options too. We will definitely eat here again and not just stop by for coffee.

I came here with a friend for one of the vegan tasting nights. What a great idea! You receive five courses of small plates to taste, which allows you to relax and make an evening of it. There is a large drink choice available to purchase also. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual, and quiet enough to chat while still maintaining an atmosphere. We were there for the Japanese evening and really enjoyed the options selected. They offer a different cuisine every month so we'll be going back again to try some different dishes!

Art and Soul hold vegan tasteing evenings on a regular basis and I recently had the pleasure of experiencing one. The food was exceptional and innovative, I have rarely had such delicious vegan food ( unless my son-in-law cooks for us!). The service and ambience were also fabulous, eating whilst surrounded by art adds a special touch. We will be back!!

Don’t be fooled.... there is huge space upstairs in eclectic setting and well spaced. Prices are really good and the plating is marvellous. The ceiling is high and feels spacious, plus lots of art on the walls for sale. I only thought it was downstairs and hadn’t entered before due to no seating seen. Go try it, the menu isn’t huge but the poached egg and avo on sourdough though the American waffles looked enticing

Oh my goodness, carrotlox bagel to die for and an amazing coffee. This is such a friendly place and a relaxed atmosphere. Nice local art on the walls and there appears to be lots going on in with regular exhibitions, Pilates and art courses. The food is absolutely lovely focused on very high quality fresh ingredients sourced locally.

I first came in on a recommendation from my wife and worked here for an afternoon when the home broadband was down. Conclusion: good coffee. Then I came again and treated myself to lunch and today I’m here with my wife and daughter and it’s cemented itself as my number one place to eat out. The food is lovely, ethical (whether it’s meat or vegan/vegetarian), the ambience is relaxed and groovy and the service is quick and friendly. I’d quite happily drop in here for breakfast, coffee or lunch on my own, with friends or family. The art is worth it on its own, and some days there’d exhibitions of art and crafts, including those who have their sculptures or art displayed regularly at the cafe. Bottom line, I can’t recommend highly enough.

After receiving the newsletter last week the details of the monthly Vegan night jumped out as being perfect for visiting family who are veggies, run a Permaculture small holding in Scotland and one of whom also happens to be a professional artist. It turned out to be a great evening, food was very tasty, and plentiful, even the carnivore amongst us really enjoyed it. Service was friendly and attentive and the general atmosphere was relaxing.

Have been to 4 vegan tasting nights, wow , excellent food and beautifully presented. All themed , very tasty with so much thought gone into each course of which the are 5 ( small but perfectly formed ) we’re not vegan but have enjoyed each evening and totally did not miss the meat. Would certainly recommend and excellent value too

This place is quirky and the idea behind it is really nice, full of interesting events and activities, selling art, craft and music. However, there are a few flaws: staff could be more welcoming (they seem so busy running around without smiling even when they don’t have many clients), but more importantly the place is not clean enough. Every time I went tables were sticky and had left over crumbles and food from previous customer, you pick up one of the free books on display and they are all dusty, same as the table games… it doesn’t give you much trust on the state of the kitchen. Menu is varied enough with an eye for intolerances and vegan/vegetarian which is great however quality of the food is just ok, a bit bland and coffee very substandard even compared to a chain like Costa. The place has surely potential, the idea is great, but there is surely room for improvement.

We are regular customers to Art & Soul. This morning after having our usual coffee & croissant we were tempted to buy the scones for our lunch. They had just been baked and looked delicious. Yes we can confirm they taste just as good as they look. 😋

Staff unwelcoming, might be my face but surely in these times a customer should be made to feel welcome. In brief I have been here numerous times for a quick coffee to spot of lunch. Each time I say to myself "never again" but I know times have been hard since covid for independent business and then more recently read the post regarding falling takings which could result in it closing down so I keep coming back! Unfortunately its time to give up!!! Consistently, everytime i enter through doors i don't think I have ever felt welcome. Not one member of staff acknowledges me, including the owner who I now recognised from the paper. The worst culprit is the female dark hair staff member who cannot even crack a smile....even when I'm the 1st customer through the door at 10am! The coffee is fine the food i have had is again fine but I think even if it was the best food and drink in town it wouldn't make me return. I have offered so many chances of redemption but no more, I love Elsie-Mays and the new coffee shop on high Street amd get a welcoming "hello" and actually feel like I am wanted as a customer. I realise this is just my experience and maybe just I get such a negative or no respond fron the staff but I can't help being born looking the way I do (I look normal by the way). I smile, say hello to staff in a chipper mood but doesn't seem to have an impact. Such a shame as I said before times are so difficult and you would think that businesses would be doing all they can to keep and gain customers by showing them they are happy for you to be in there. We all have off days and I fully appreciate that, but after so many attempts to let them redeemed themselves they aren't able too.

I’ve been meaning to visit for ages and finally got the opportunity. I couldn’t have been more disappointed. We visited on a weekday, late morning. The place was very quiet and had more staff than customers. A couple of staff were working at laptops and 1 was behind the counter. Not one of them turned round or looked up to greet us and I really considered moving on to another place, but we stuck it out…keen to support an independent We seated ourselves and worked out we needed to order at the counter. There was only a small variety of scones available so we didn’t eat but instead had 2 coffee. Barista training is definitely needed! I’ve never had a flat white like it-huge cup and very weak a shame as they use good coffee. We promptly left, I said goodbye but don’t think staff would have bothered had I not initiated. So much room for improvement:( Decor is behind the times, cold and uninviting. Toilet area is a shambles of wooden pallets.
