Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We travelled from Downham on recommendation from a friend for a family roast which was to be fair a very nice roast, fresh veg and plenty of it, our family meal was marred by the men sat at the bar continually swearing and loudly too,...me and my husband have been known to use a bad word or 2 but not when there are children close by, these 2 older "gents" were using F and C words in almost every sentence, the staff could of asked them to tone it down but didn't, so a nice family meal was ruined for us sadly. We wont be returning or recommending the pubMore

Been several times, the new owners have really expanded the menu, the fish and chips are brilliant, the burgers are huge as is the breakfast menu

Lovely friendly pub in a small village and off the beaten track. The welcome was very warm and good range of gin and ales. The burgers going to tables looked amazing and I really enjoyed the fish n chips I had. Huge beer garden with...children's area so we will definitely be back to visit when the weather is better. Nice hidden treasure..More
