Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic food, Christmas menu, well cooked and good price. Served by Adele, who couldn’t do enough for us. Meals were piping hot and well worth what we paid. Will certainly come back.

Large group of friends met for a meal this evening. Looked after by the lovely Adele. Food and service equally excellent. The best pub food we’ve all had in a long time, the temperature in the restaurant was a little cool however it was snowing...outside. Thanks for a great evening.More

My husband and I had a Sunday lunch here. They have a new chef, the food was all home cooked and tasted amazing. Would highly recommend this place. The hostess Adele, that served us was very efficient and took time to advice us on the...menu. Ambiance was very relaxing, with a lovely fire. Thanks very much.More

I was made to feel very welcome by Adele she was very au fait with allergies and I enjoyed a very nice gluten free breakfast. She is a real asset to the restaurant and I will visit again.

We had a great experience at this restaurant today. Not only was the food delicious, the staff were excellent. We would particularly like to thank Adele, who was so friendly and very kind towards our brother who has autism, being aware of his needs and...addressing him personally. She went to special lengths to make sure he had everything he needed. Thank you Adele. 🙏🏻More

Had a super roast dinner with all the trimmings. It was great with lots of veggies and a really scrumptious Yorkshire pudding. A very good sized portion!

Called in for a VERY late lunch after a busy day. Our sandwich/wrap choices were delivered in good time, and were hot and tasty with lovely crispy fries. What made the visit especially good was the service from Adele. She was friendly, helpful, recommending drinks,...and incredibly efficient. It was only a brief visit, but she went out of her way to make it as enjoyable as possible for us. Thanks Adele 😊More

Our family went to get an early dinner and we’re very pleased with the quality of the food. It was during a slow time so no one was at the entrance to welcome us, but we found help quickly and were seated Immediately. We did...recommend this restaurant to our British friends.More

It was my husbands 60th birthday. We all (family 13 of us). Went to celebrate. Adele looked after us. She was fantastic and nothing was to much trouble. They even bought us a drink and produced a birthday cake for my husband. Not a cupcake...either. Can't praise them enough. Would recommend to anyone. The food was delicious as well. We were all happy.More

This is a fabulous place. We needed to book last minute a table for 12 and Adele was fantastic and incredibly accommodating. The welcome was warm and friendly from the staff and the locals and we immediately felt at home. The food was all top...notch and nothing was to much trouble. Very dog friendly with a huge complimentary doggie biscuit bone for our four legged dinner companion. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.More
