Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having seen the reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to give this place a try and we are so glad that we did. My partner is something of a Thai food connoisseur and was blown away by the quality of the food. The giant river prawns...were amazing and the homemade pandam pancake with coconut ice cream is something that I need to have more of in my life. There was a delay in the desserts being served due to a problem with one of the pancakes. The chef wasn't preprepared to let it go out unless it was perfect so I had to wait a few more minutes but, even though I didn't complain, they knocked to cost off the final bill so can't say fairer than that. My own experience of Thai food is more limited to the selections offered in Chinese restaurants which have always left me unimpressed. I now feel that I know how Thai food is supposed to be cooked but it will be hard to match Kin Arai? Thai. The service was excellent, friendly and unobtrusive. I hope the restaurant thrives and the chef is recognised for the outstanding skills demonstrated on our visit.More

Wow! Our 2nd visit to enjoy Pom's amazing food. Sweet, succulent giant river prawns in fragrant soup to start with. Followed by Duck red Thai curry with fresh lychees and pineapple. Dessert? Well, no banana fritters here! Home-made Pandan pancake with coconut ice cream for...me while my partner opted for home-made Thai mango sorbet and fresh mango. Yes- Thai mangoes really are sweeter and more fragrant than other mangoes! What a treat. A talented and passionate chef, Pom deserves to succeed. I hate to think what you'd have to pay for this quality of food in a top city restaurant.Do yourself and Pom a favour and book a table straight away!More

I ordered the takeaway via messenger, and Kin arai were very helpful, I wanted the kin of the week but was aware it would be spicy and that my son wouldn't eat any of it! I asked if they could recommend anything for my son...as Kin Arai said that she would prepare him a child's dish of glass noodles and grilled chicken which was also at a great price! My son loved it and felt included as something had been cooked especially for him! The food was great and lots of it for 2 people we couldn't eat it all My only issue would be that as it was takeaway it took us a while to figure out what was what but in the grand scheme of things was fine as all tasted great! Will book into restaurant next time so we can have a real good feast, This place is a little gem and needs the backing of the locals so that we can have another choice of food in Middlewich!More

We love Thai food and this is the closest to authentic Thai food you can get. The food is filling and not heavy, and the service is great, they can answer every question & not be intrusive. They know their stuff and we'll be back...to try more dishes. It's completely worth a visit Just give it a go!!!!More

Some of the starters here are quite good, but you get the feeling that the menu as a whole is quite limited. For what it is it is, a Thai in a village, it is also pretty expensive. Service could be quicker, we had to...wait a bit, but the food was hot when it arrived. Nothing bad here, but nothing great either. With some new main courses on the menu 4 out of 5, but as is 3 I'm afraid.More

Decided to try this restaurant as I pass it every day on the way to work. We started with the tapas which was a nice selection and very tasty and followed it with main courses, rice and noodles. It makes a change to go to...a restaurant that serves something that is a bit different. If you like spicy, tasty food give this place a go.More

We've been extremely excited watching the building being prepped for the new restaurant. Unfortunately it's taken until now for us to finally visit. Called late on a Saturday evening, but they still managed to squeeze us in. Restaurant was busy, but the wait for food...was short. The Thai tapas had one item which was sold out, so it was kindly replaced by the stunning Giant River prawn instead, which was above and beyond fair replacement! The food was simply ourstanding. We've tried many Thai restaurants around Manchester and Cheshire, but this one is the best by far. Amazing fresh ingredients, mind blowing flavours and presentation to match. We cannot recommend Kin Arai? enough and we'll be going back for sure :-)More

We had a rare child free evening so decided to try out the new restaurant in town because luckily for us, it's just round the corner from our house. We received a lovely welcome from the waitress who was very knowledgable about the ingredients and...the dishes. My husband is vegetarian and there was so much choice for him, usually he may have two choices at the most when we go out to eat. The food was delicious, the restaurant is really nicely decorated and the service is fantastic. On top of this it is also very reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back again and would highly recommend it.More

New restaurant. Very well decorated and felt authentic. Food really nice and sourced locally, especially the wild boar I tried. Just a tad pricey. Recommend to try if you like Thai. The lady serving us was excellent and very informative if you asked a question....Service brilliant.More

At last, an authentic Thai restaurant in Cheshire! My wife and I travelled to Bangkok and southern Thailand 3 months ago and ever since, we've been craving real authentic Thai cuisine. Kin Arai ticks all of the boxes! Chef Pom cooked to perfection and even...make our Thai Som Tum extra spicy when asked. To start we had: Thai prawn crackers, giant river Prawn with Thai seafood sauce (nam Jim seafood), extra spicy Thai Som Tum (papaya salad), Tumeric Chicken with cashew nut salsa and Thai sticky rice. For mains we had: Duck Panang curry, Lamb Massaman curry with Jasmine rice. Absolutely everything was spot-on and couldn't fault it. We will definitely return... good food deserves recognition. The service was also extremely friendly and welcoming.More

The staff are very polite and friendly and have made a great job converting the old pub into a restaurant.the menu isn't too big so they concentrate on getting a good home cooked flavour to the food.a promising start for this new restaurant.will be back.

Lovely surroundings, very good customer service and a car park. The staff wanted you to enjoy the Thai experience and were very attentive. We ordered the set menu which was £26.50 a person which was slightly more expensive compared to other Thai restaurants we have...visited but we received a glass of complementary prosecco each and later some delicious complementary oysters. The menu was limited which made our choices easier but could be a problem if someone had a limited diet or was fussy about what they ate. We experienced foods we would not normally eat such as capers, fresh figs, real seaweed and lyches. I would not normally choose to eat any of these foods but they were deliciously placed in certain dishes to enhance the flavours and I really really enjoyed them. The recipes are from the owners family passed down the generations and are not the exact same flavours I have had in the few local Thai restaurants I have visited ( which have tasted almost the same). In a way that disappointed me as I had a preconceived idea what the food would be like, however in a way it didnt as I have now experienced new tastes, flavours and foods that I am more likely to try again. I wish Kin Arai great success.More
