We have been here now on a number of occasions and the Sunday dinner is consistently amazing! One thing that stands out on every visit is the staff, so friendly and pleasant, we have enjoyed yet another afternoon, thank you so much, see you again...soon, probably next Sunday!!More

We've lived in the area for more than 20 years (certainly been here longer than the pub itself) and throughout that time have been routinely disappointed at the quality of the meals, so much so that we've largely avoided what should be our local. However...on the recent recommendation of a friend and simply wanting to enjoy an evening out in our community, we booked in for dinner this week (Monday, Valentines Day). The team had a special menu for the evening (though we hadn't known that when we booked) and I had the Prawn Cocktail, followed by Sea Bass. The food was simply excellent, nicely prepared & very well cooked (especially the fish). My wife had Mussels from the Specials and the Lasagne from the regular menu, both of which were very good too. We were so impressed that we spoke to the manager/landlady and complimented her & the team, who'd been welcoming and attentive throughout. A very welcome surprise! We will be back, probably to try a Sunday Roast in the near future.More

My mum recently celebrated her 70th birthday and we were struggling for a venue for 19 guests due to heavy winds causing power cuts. We were accommodated at the kingfisher and the service and food was exceptional. The hosts were so attentive and nothing was...too much trouble.More

We had dinner at Kingfisher. The food was excellent _ i had the Prawn and Chorizo starter which was tasty and good but not too filling, followed by a Steak with Peppercorn Sauce which was tender and tasty, with excellent chips. My wife had the...Steak and Ale Pie which was amazing - lots of very tender tasty meat with great flavour. My wife has mobility problems and vascular dementia, and the staff (especially the assistant manager) could not have been more helpful.More

The staff were lovely and accommodating. We had to change our booking twice due to traffic and this was no trouble at all. In fact all the staff were smiley and polite. We had two mains and two children’s meals. Portion sizes were good and...no complaints at all about the food. I highly recommend the pie. Overall everything you ask for after a long drive.More
