My family and I visit this restaurant occasionally as my son enjoys it here, so on his birthday this was the destination of choice. Now, while the food is good what I can't forgive is serving it on cold plates and this is not the...More

We went after a walk in the forest and had a great meal, served by the most helpful staff. They made us and our dog really welcome and even fired up sausage and mash despite it not being on the menu!!

Average at best really. Service was slow for a weekday lunchtime and wasn't busy. It took over half an hour from finishing mains to leaving, without having pudding. Wasn't offered coffee. Had to ask for dessert menu, didn't fancy anything, no-one asked if we wanted...More

Visited early evening with Grandchildren aged 6 and 4. Good food, good service but appalling NON-CHILDREN FRIENDLY response from a member of the staff. After the meal we were told to keep the children quiet 'as people were eating'. It was 6.30 p. m.! The...More

We went because we were looking for a dog friendly eatery. Pleasantly surprised, food was good and staff were friendly. Only one criticism, the baked cheesecake was not baked but we will be going again

I took my parents for an anniversary/birthday meal at lunchtime. Haven't been since the last takeover took place. Looks nice, very tasty food and excellent service, very friendly staff. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was it's not very dementia friendly. My dad...More

Oh dear Hamilton and Brian, I don't think attacking people's opinion is what Tripadviser is about. Pubs/restaurants in 'walking' areas such as this get valuable business from people out waling in the forest with their dogs.
