Alston is a lovely bustling village, well worth the long ride to get there! Inside is charming; while, outside, is a place to watch its small world go by! Quite a lot of the traffic is motorcyclists, for the roads are ideal for such pursuits;...More

Lovely traditional cosy cafe in middle of Alston. We had bacon & eggs and toast and they were delicious. Wonderful home made cakes. Staff lovely. Worth calling into town for. Lovely.

We were staying in Alston for a couple of days and popped in here on a Sunday morning for a spot to eat. This is an extremely quaint (a bit old fashioned) cafe although I think it adds to the charm. There aren't many seats...More

5 of us met in Alston yesterday. Where should we eat. Looked at the crown but menu didn't look great. Looked at this little place and didn't we do well. Great service with a smile and a chat. Great food and not expensive. Thanks

Sorry we are so late getting back to you ! Dogs are welcome at the outside tables but we are too small to accommodate dogs within the café. Thanks Ian
