The food here is normally very good, and the Sunday roast was no exception. The service is normally very good as well, but since the restaurant area was fully booked, we sat in the bar area. We were asked what we wanted to drink and after a long delay, our order was taken. The food arrived promptly and was good,... More

We booked a table for two the day before Valentine's day to avoid the rush. Our booking was 7.30 but when we came to order the special was sold out. Service was good, but the room was cold, WiFi didn't work, and had to pay cash because the card machine didn't work. The food was good with generous portions but not... More

We visited the Ship whilst in the area having had a good meal here last April. We had recommended this restaurant to friends we were with based on our last visit and we were not disappointed. It was a Wednesday night and the restaurant was not very busy, but the friendly welcome from the staff helped create a good atmosphere.... More

We visited whilst seeing friends and family in the area. We arrived to our table reserved and offered drinks. Moretti on tap.. It would have been rude not to. And a lovely pint too. Nice specials on the board, plenty of fresh fish offerings. I went for the special balti and it was stunning. Lots of meat, and accompanied with... More

We had nice meal here, food was tasty and well prepared, the beer was good, staff very friendly and helpful and overall it was excellent value. We had walked from Arnside Station along the shore with our dog (who was also made very welcome). It was a glorious but cold day, I thoroughly recommend the walk, it takes about 40... More

By far the best pub grub I've had in a while! I ordered the chicken breast Sunday lunch and it was absolutely beautiful! Topped off with an amazing hot chocolate fudge cage for dessert. Defiantly cured my hangover and made my day. the food and drinks are well priced and defiantly worth well more than what they are charging. Great... More

Met friends for dinner the other evening. Staff were very helpful, friendly and prompt service. I had a pint of 'Sunshine' from Morecambe's Cross Bay Brewery, it was delicious. The Lamb Henry was served up hot and plentiful, that too was delicious. Finished off with chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. Really good. Thanks to all who served us and... More

Visited on new year bank hol with family for lunch. Didn't go with huge expections but hoped for a reasonable pub food standard. Menu states food cooked fresh to order. What a disappointment! Roast of the day was bland and resembled a poor school dinner (the waitress later admitted it was the previous days roast reheated.....). Didn't think it was... More

After calling in a few months previously to have a superb Sunday roast we called in on New Years eve for lunch. We had a mixed starter for one which easily feeds two and was really tasty. The menu is a bit limited but there should be something on there to satisfy everybody. My friend and I both had the... More
