I only went in because I had lost my wife at the crowded beer festival in the brewery next door. The nice lady ( not wilf) was suitably concerned so I drowned my sorrows in buying a few delicacies. The venison and fennel sausage roll...More
We visited here today, the food was very nice. However, my husband and son sat at a table downstairs towards the back of the cafe, I cam through with coffee to await our lunch arriving when my husband noticed a sign on the table that...More
Nice cafe selling the usual cafe fare. Layout of the cafe is nice with option of an outdoor balcony overlooking the river. However the cafe seems to be obsessed with prohibition signs; no entry, no adults, no children, baby's bottles only, patrons only etc. I...More
We called at this cafe today as we travelled through the area, The food was poor to say the least ! I ordered Wilfs special veggi chilli, it lacked flavour, and was lukewarm, My husband ordered chicken pie with new pototoes, it was quite awful,...More
We attended a geocaching Leap day event here otherwise would have missed this super cafe. Returned a few days later for a bite to eat before our walk. Food was lovely and it's well worth a visit with some good walking nearby
A great café to visit especially after a long walk, its very comfortable with a separate area for children. The food and cakes are very good at good prices. Staff friendly and helpful.
Good place to stop for a quick bite and a drink, nice quality. Used a lot by walkers and cyclists ,and OK for families too

Great after walking and muddy boots acceptable. Hot rabbit sausage rolls were interesting and coffees were hot and fresh. There are many local walks taking in weirs, woods and tarns. Will return!
