Visited on a thursday and on the spur of the moment decided to try the flat iron steaks. At 2 for £20 + a bottle of wine for a fiver, It would be rude not to! The restaurant was fully booked, but we were able to find a table downstairs, as such I was expecting a wait but this was... More

Got the train and ate here last week. Food is absolutely faultless. Service...great. but please deal with the hordes of drunk customers who "greet" you as you enter the restaurant. My wife didn't appreciate some bloke telling his friend he was a "c***. Neither did I.

This place is really beautiful it's located above the historic water wheel in what was originally the “milling room.” The pub has the original millstones and milling paraphernalia still in place in the centre of the room which is beautiful to see. No only does the place welcome you inside with it's original stone walls and beautiful fire place but... More

We were looking forward to our visit to this resturant, and we weren't dissapointed, the whole family enjoyed their two course dinner. They served delicious, freshly cooked, nicely presented food. The service was spot on, and we'll definitly be back for more.

First time since refurb... much improved..We had a really good meal and will go again. Highly recommend. Restaurant area best for a meal I'd say. As at night it's very busy and it would be like eating in a football match crowd.. which is a good sign of popularity itself!

Great service, great food, reasonable prices, what's not to like? Way nicer than anything else in Ulverston. I should know! Don't waste your money going anywhere else. I'd hate to say "told you so"!

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review. We're trying to offer all three elements you mentioned. Great service, great food and reasonable prices. This is not fine dining, but we want it to be fine, casual pub dining. Really good food, in a lovely setting at a price level that's not going to be too... More

We decided to eat outside Kendal and had found the Mill as a potential alternative. On arriving a table was found for us and we had the full attention of the restaurant manager, Lena. She showed great care and attention to detail as she offered recommendations for wine and was knowledgable about the menu. We enjoyed Gravalax and tortellini as... More

Busy pub style restaurant on various floors of an old corn mill. Food delicious and beautifully presented. Service great, pleasant, friendly staff. Recommend booking as it gets pretty busy.

First visit to Ulverston, and popped into the Mill for lunch. Lovely looking place from the outside and equally as nice inside. Cozy fire in centre of pub. Some comfy seating by the windows. Pleasant staff and surroundings. Decent menu. My husband and I chose soup starters. Mine was Stilton and broccoli, the best I have ever tasted. Small chunks... More
