Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited this fabulous tapas restaurant in half term with my children and grandchildren. The service and food were excellent. Our every need was catered for. Will definitely return when we next visit the Lake District.

Disappointing. Everything over salted. Staff weren’t really bothered. Been here a lot before but unlikely to rush back

Amazing food, every dish was full of flavour. Menu had a good variety for food and drinks, cocktails were top notch. Can’t decide which one was my favourite as they were all great. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Would definitely go back and would...highly recommend to anyone.More

What can I say. I took my husband for the first time ( normally it’s a girl thing as not really his cup of tea). And from start to finish. The hospitality , staff venue and most importantly the food was amazing. That much so...for a husband who’s not that keen he was so impressed he can’t wait to come back. Thanks agin. Amazing food as alwaysMore

Absolutely superb - we have been trying to dine here for some time now, the wait was well worth it. Wow, the food is brilliant, we chose 7 plates and shared, we really struggled at the end to pick our best. Needless to say we...didn't pick the same one. Cant wait to go back. The atmosphere was buzzing and the decor just took you to another place.More

On reflection the last reviews I can see are from 11 months ago. Poor untrained service, did not change plate’s between courses which in my opinion is a must when eating different types of fish / meat and hot and cold food .OH and the...food was not great either ,over cooked under spiced, the chef seems very confused . We are in the area to celebrate my wife’s birthday and had a wonderful day in and around lake Windermere but this completely ruined the day.More

I cannot rate the tapas here highly enough for a large group. I’ve had some bad ones before. Fresh, tasty, colourful and great portions. Service was nicely friendly and prompt. Wish I lived closer so I can come again.

What a gem. Where better to spend a hot bank holiday weekend in May than L’al Churrasco? Delicious tapas food. Every course spot on. Delicious cocktails. Cold Cervezas. Finished off with delicious coffee and baklava. Service with a smile. Great atmosphere. What’s not to like?

Lovely place with very interesting menu. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and served in a relaxed, laid back setting. Stand out dishes for us were the halloumi and the lamb shawarma, but all the dishes we had were very good indeed. Real variety of...flavours. Busy, even midweek, so booking essential Will definitely be visiting again and would heartily recommend to anyone Eleanor WilsonMore

From the warm welcome, the pre dinner drinks and friendly atmosphere our evening just got better. It was a while since our last visit and the team guided us through our menu choices. We chose the taster selection which was tweaked to accommodate our personal...preferences. The presentation of the food was superb, the flavours a fusion of complimentary tastes. Seven courses but just enough food to make sure we had a nice portion and could enjoy the latter courses. Good wine choices, plenty of water.More

We visited with friends for the very first time this weekend. Ordered a round of drinks and paid for them, before we were told they would be brought to us. We sat in the window and waited. Waitress brought them over and handed them out...but one was an incorrect order, made up as a JD and Diet Coke ( we explained that this should have been normal coke and asked to have it changed please) . Waitress went away and returned advising that Diet Coke was what the bartender had heard and that if we wanted an alternative then we would have to pay for it. We were not drunk, this was our first bar drinks of the evening and we did have another soft drink of Diet Coke in the order so we suggested that perhaps they has confused the two in the noise of the bar, and please could it be changed, we were sure that we had ordered the correct drink. Waitress returns to bar and discusses with the barman who then SHOUTED across the bar, across all the other customers sat at the bar and above the music that we had ordered what he had sent and he will only make us the correct drink if we pay again for it. Having already paid an extortionate amount for the 6 drinks ( one small drink was £9!) we did not feel this was justified. There was no apology, no possible acceptance that it could have been misheard , no offer of a change, no suggestion that they could provide an alternative at a reduced cost, nothing. It was embarrassing, everyone turned around to look at us and we were left with no alternative but to accept the incorrect drink or pay even more £. Will not return, ever. Cheap decor, bad service, no interest in the customers experience.More

Nothing terrible, but very mediocre for £40 per head without wine. The squid was incredibly salty and the Spanish cured meat board was nonexistent......
