Excellent food service and wine. Monthly menu changes so there is always something new to try. Thoroughly recommended.

Presentation of food, quality of food, faultless service all in very pleasant surroundings. Menu changes monthly- but could anything on it - good variety meeting all tastes and needs. Assiettes are always top value- but it all is. Never been disappointed.

I had the mixed vegetarian platter to start and the baked aubergine. Vegetarian food is often uninspiring but both dishes were excellent. Would also recommend the apple pancakes - one of the best desserts I've eaten! My husbands bread and butter pudding was equally good.
Thank you very much for your review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your meal with us, especially the 'vegetarian options' and 'desserts'. I shall pass your kind comments onto the rest of the team.
Went on the off chance it was good and not disappointed. Had a lovely meal, everything was pipping hot which I like . Staff were attentive and welcoming but could do with more. Would go again

Stayed in the Ashbourne area for a week and Lamplight stood head and shoulders above other restaurants we checked out. Very atmospheric , cosy dining area with magnificent oak beams. Service very professional and food excellent in quality, taste and vale for money.
