Me and my hubby decided to have a meal here whilst on a weekend break. The food was of a below average standard and ridiculously overpriced. Strange atmosphere in this restaurant, we wouldn't recommend eating here. Very disappointed.

On a suggestion from our friend to meet at the Red Chilli Indian restaurant for our wedding anniversary, we checked on trip advisor for recent reviews and were a little concerned, but as we had little time to arrange another venue we went. The restaurant was very cold so we asked to sit next to a radiator and ordered our... More

The dining area is light with fairly plain decoration, which worked for me. Our starters, a garlic puri and paneer shaslick, were dishes I have not seen on menus before and were very good. The main dishes were good but not great - tasting a bit of each they were surprisingly similar. When asked if we were enjoying the meal... More

While staying in Ashbourne for couple of nights recently, we decided to visit this place for an evening family meal. Their website was the one that got my attention while looking for dining options in Ashbourne as it looked attractive and also there isn't much choice in this little town for Indian cuisine. So decided to give it a try.... More

Not very pleased with the staff, a little ignorant. Not very welcoming - this is the first time we visited the red chilli, and we probably wont be going back again unfortunately.

We live in Ashbourne and we have visited this restaurant twice and both times have been awful! From the cold arrogant service to the tasteless food! We adore Indian food and both meals were such a let down! The tandoori was so dry the nan bread was thick and so bland! The rice was greasy and the attitude of the... More
