Hit the spot on all counts. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Food was amazing I had prawn cocktail to start really tasty steak was fantastic certainly not a cash and carry or supermarket bought. You won't be disappointed if you have a meal here.

This is a great little spot for good food and good service. Well priced and good value. Yes, the exterior and entrance won't win awards, but just as many pubs in the UK, the outside doesn't tell the whole story. It's always a pleasant surprise when you get more than you pay for this The Roebuck was a good example... More

With the Dog & Partridge turning us away we thought we would just have to settle with food at the nearby Roebuck. Not to be underestimated, attractive food friendly staff, needs an image update to the entrance. But overall enjoyable and welcoming. With such stiff local competition the Roebuck with some minor tweaks will compete with ease.

We stopped here by chance. The place didn't look all that and once inside decor the same, a typical local pub but clean. The barman/manager very friendly made us feel welcome the regulars seemed friendly too. We ordered drinks and food. As pub food goes pretty good and cheap but would recommend an alternative to the chunky chips, as needed... More

We tried the Roebuck as we kew it was under new managment and thought we would give it a try We weren't disapointed the menu was standard for a pub chain but the service and atmoshpere were excellent the host was very helpfull and the food arrived in a timely manner and was well presented and well cooked. The surroundings... More

I enjoy coming to the roebuck but I would like to see more variety of menu. I have allergies to bread and have to substitute for a tortilla bread but there is not a choice to choose from all that's available contains spices which again I can't have. It would be nice to see more foods that didn't contain bread... More

This pub has just been taken over the past couple of weeks. It's very clean and tidy. Prices are very good. Give it a chance :)

My friends and i were looking for a local place to eat and i saw the Roebuck had been taken over, so I thought we would give it ago. On arrival we took our seats and having been given the menu, which we all thought looked like a town centre café menu. However we ordered and our starter arrived which... More

Fancied something to eat and found that the pub in Marchington was not open so decided to come home. Saw some bright lights up the main road and drove to find The Roebuck, thought it was not open but called any way. It was not busy and asked if they were still serving food, and got a certainly, so stayed.... More

A hidden gem, looks like an ordinary pub serving pub grub, but in fact it has a separate restaurant which serves wonderful food. Great choice, locally sourced produce, home made desserts. Very nicely presented plates and good helpings. Pleasant service.
