We went in the other day after a lovely walk around Castleton and shared the rarebit and some of the lemon curd cake, along with 2 teas and a bowl of chips, There is a large and lovely Garden out the back and the service was prompt and friendly

A friend and I enjoyed lunch here after a walk. Having been told to sit down and wait for someone to take our order, we soon discovered that was not the system, and went to the bar to order. However, after that initial confusion, we experienced great service and very enjoyable food in the tranquil garden at the back. The... More

If you have an intolerance to any type of food I would advise you to stay away from this place! Popped in for a bite to eat as it looked nice. Asked a member of staff what Gluten free options they had and was very rudely told to sit down and look at the menu. We had already looked at... More

Popped in quickly to the tea rooms here before my parking ran out. Just had time for a cream tea with a delicious and huge scone, jam and clotted cream and nice pot of tea. I also bought a slice of bakewell tart to take away as a present for my nan (can't comment on this yet as nan hasn't... More

Visited today, following reviews on Trip Advisor; these were accurate and helpful and we agree with almost all the other reviewers. Sandwiches were well presented, not a huge choice over filling and it would be particularly nice to have a better quality bread? good enough, though. This café really comes into its own with its cakes, however, and we struggled... More

we came down from the caverns feeling a bit peckish but all the pubs and restaurants were full. Found this place purely by accident but glad we did. Sat outside in the garden and food was served within minutes by friendly staff. Portions are a good size without being too filling. We even had dessert after lunch after spying another... More

We arrived ready for a hearty breakfast and was not disappointed. The full English breakfast was well cooked and presented. It was hot and delicious using local produce. I could not resist the bakewell tart to finish and excellent polite service throughout.
