What an awful experience! Called in for a drink with friends, was greeted with horrible stares and unfriendly manageress behind the bar. Made to feel extremely uncomfortable, terrible atmosphere, will never go here again!More

To daniel b. I highly doubt you have the correct venue here. Number one Barbara doesn't sell corned beef sandwiches. Number two, her sandwiches do not coat £5. Number 3, she is far from incompetent. Number 4, dogs AND people love her food. It's good...More

Been today for Sunday lunch and it was excellent. We hadn't pre-booked but the landlady, Bridie, was very accommodating and found us a table. We ordered 2 Sunday lunches and 2 pints, very reasonably priced. When the food arrived, it was piping hot, well presented...More

There aren't many places in the Dales where you can catch the sport on TV these days. That may not sound like a massive recommendation, but when you combine it with well kept, well priced beer and a warm welcome, it is. Really.

Staff welcomed a lot of clients like old friends, they moved people around to make room for other guests as they came in and everyone was very happy. Felt like cramming more family in for dinner, really homely and friendly. Food lovely and reasonably priced.

Yes, but it is one Sunday every month. You will have to contact the Grouse to find out more details. There is also live entertainment on a Saturday night. Hope this helps!

We are a traditional pub, serving traditional homemade pub food at lunchtimes Thursday to Sunday. In the new year this will be extended to evenings too. Sunday is our traditional Sunday roasts, serving a selection of meats with all the trimmings. Inside the pub we have a pool table and darts board and to the back of the premises we have a large, secure children's play area. We cater for all functions such as wakes, christenings, birthdays, and we have a private dining room which can be used for such events.
