First time eating here and not sure why we haven't before as we live locally. We booked a table for 6 adults and a toddler, on a week day evening. Staff super friendly and never had to wait or ask for drinks or to order, and the food was simply amazing, ad very generous portion sizes. My 13 month old grandson especially enjoyed himself and his meal and the lovely waitresses who he kept blowing kisses to 🤣🤣 We will 100% be back, there is so much on the menu I want to try. ☆☆☆☆☆

This was a great find. Having followed the Snake Pass after a day out we looked online for a place to eat. The reviews online for this place were good and the menu was reasonable. It did not disappoint! The staff were very friendly and attentive (especially with the children). They offer half portions of the pasta and pizza dishes for kids which meant they had a great selection to choose from. The food was hot and tasted great. Portion sizes were more than ample. Drinks selection was good too. We left deliciously full! We definitely recommend.

Our first time at La Corrente and certainly won’t be our last! Food was amazing large portion sizes and extremely tasty price range also great value not the cheapest but you certainly get what you pay for at La Corrente. Lovely surroundings and very pleasant and attentive staff a great dinning experience 10/10

Disappointing food and service. Went as it was where we had our first date a couple of years ago. I asked for the ravioli and asked if the sauce could be without dill she came back and said no so I chose the prawn pasta which didn’t have any mention of dill in the description. She returned and said there was dill in that sauce too! I then chose crab linguine, it was tasteless no flavour if chilli or crab tbh, I ate probably half of it. When she came to collect plates I told her - very little reaction at all. Had a pudding which was nice. Won’t be bothered to return too many other places to try out

We recently celebrated our mother’s birthday at La Corrente in Glossop, and it was a memorable experience from start to finish. The venue is simply lovely, with a welcoming atmosphere that suits all kinds of gatherings—whether it’s an intimate celebration or a night out with friends. The ambiance balances elegance with a warm, inviting vibe, making it easy to relax and enjoy the evening.
The food was exceptional, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor. From starters to dessert, every plate was beautifully presented and delicious, reflecting a high standard of quality and care. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of the experience.

Went for a casual night out with my wife; service was first class - attentive but not overbearing and the staff were willing to engage in conversation.
The menu has a good selection from which to choose and the food was well presented, tasty and reasonable value for money.
The atmosphere was good, with the restaurant about 75% full.
Without hesitation I would recommend this restaurant.

Perfect! As a party of 5 we sampled a wide range of the vegetarian options - across the antipasti, sourdough pizza and salad options. Every dish was fantastic - clearly based on quality ingredients, cooked and presented with great care and flair. A great choice of modern interpretation of Italian classics alongside contemporary dishes. Our table host was very friendly and helpful, adding to the general relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. All portions are extremely generous so we can't say much about the desserts offer! A lovely night out - out thanks to everyone in the La Corrente team - we'll definitely be back!

We celebrated our daughter's 18th birthday today and what can I say other than WOW! Our party was for 46 people and you would never have guessed it, the food was amazing and the service was impeccable. Mutlu, Poppy, Harvey and Alex worked so hard to make sure our experience was second to none. The chefs were so friendly and enjoyed talking to the children who were amazed by the pizza station. Nothing was too much for any of the la Corrente team.
Well done Mutlu and thank you for making Freya's birthday meal so special.

We are local to Glossop and there is plenty of good choice for italian restaurants. We had been meaning to try here for a while. We popped in for an early tea after and were really happy with our food and service. It's a lovely airy dining space and the staff were friendly and attentive. Food was great and accommodated a slight change to a dish. Penne Salmone was lovely with generous servings of salmon in the dish. And a lovely thin and crispy garlic bread.

What a fantastic place, friendly staff always ready to serve. The design and decor of the restaurant was lovely and then the food..
wow! I ordered the ribs starter and the chicken & Nduja fettuccini. The ribs were a nice low level of spice and flavour. Juicy & meaty. The fettuccini was amazing. Tasty and the portion size was really good. Every meal looked just as good as the next not one person was dissatisfied with their choice looking at others as the quality was great across the board. Would definitely recommend

I had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Italian restaurant, and I can confidently say it was a five-star experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with just the right mix of elegance and comfort.
The food was absolutely outstanding! Every dish was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and bursting with authentic Italian flavors. The homemade pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauces were rich and flavorful, and the garlic bread had the perfect crispy-yet-chewy crust.
The service was just as impressive as the food. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. They made excellent recommendations and ensured our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
If you’re looking for an authentic Italian meal with top-notch service, this is the place to go. I can’t wait to return!

I am absolutely baffled by the previous positive ratings of this restaurant.
Family birthday meal today which was firstly very difficult to book due to their deposit situation….as we were a large part we had to provide a deposit…not an issue usually however The deposit couldn’t be paid and then refunded to the card….it had to be taken off the bill…which is overly complicated with numerous family members paying.
The service was ok but the main issue was the quality of food. Extremely poor for the money they are charging. I ordered a ribeye steak that was of very low quality and so over cooked it had to be sent back. The second attempt was still very poor and obviously no time to rest so bled all over the plate.
I definitely won’t be going back and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

Thank you for taking the time to write your review.
It’s clear from your comment regarding our deposit policy that you have never worked in the restaurant or hospitality industry before. Taking deposits is standard practice in this industry, and something we feel is particularly essential to our restaurant. If we were to take a large party booking without deposit and the table were to not show up and not inform us then we would be negatively affected as a business, which has happened to us in the past.
We also feel that the fairest and most straight forward way of dealing with the deposit is to take it off your total bill, how you and your fellow diners decide to work it out from that point is unfortunately not our responsibility. We would love to be able to work the bill out with you/for you but we are an extremely busy restaurant and on a Saturday evening, which is when you came to dine with us, we simply can not afford to focus so much of our team’s attention on doing this, as it would result in the overall level of service being affected negatively and we are not willing to compromise our incredible service. Please remember we have many other guests to look after who are just as important as yourselves, believe it or not.
To say our service was just ok is disrespectful to our team and in fact just plain incorrect. Our team give 100% every shift and we pride ourselves on providing a very high level of service with a friendly but professional touch, which is exactly the same level of service you received.
In regards to the steak, I’m sorry to inform you sir but your steak was cooked perfectly the first time around. We find it strange also that there were two steaks on your table and the other gentleman had no complaints about his steak. This says to us that we know how to cook a steak to perfection and that you did not understand what you were ordering when you asked for your steak medium rare. Take it from us, we are a successful restaurant and we sell a vast amount of steaks on a weekly basis, we know what we are doing perfectly well.

We had a wonderful evening and a delicious meal for a party of 12. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and even gave my husband a complimentary glass of wine when his meal was delayed. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and would definitely go there again. Thank you, Mutlu and your team for making it such a great experience.

I was served by Tania. We had a family meal, the food was amazing! Tania was very attentive; our drinks were always replenished, she made sure our food was up to standards, and also very helpful with my sisters gluten allergy, which we find so rare to find in restaurants! Would definitely recommend to my family and friends, and will definitely visit again!

We were very late travelling home and getting hungry, and getting to the point of realising that while dinner was waiting for us at home it would be very late when we got there; when we remembered seeing La Corrente, so stopped for a meal. I had a lovely fresh vegetarian pasta dish with a lemon and butter sauce - my husband could smell the lemon. He had a pizza which he enjoyed. The food was excellent - the service very good. Would happily return.
