We had an absolutely delicious supper here last night whilst enjoying a weekend away in Norfolk. I had seen No 29 on various BBQ facebook posts as they cook on Big Green EGG’s so I was very excited to visit and try the food, I...was not disappointed. The restaurant itself - well all of Burnham Market - was festooned with Christmas lights and it all looked so pretty. We were shown to a private dining room upstairs which was great as we were a group of 7. The food was all fantastic. I had scallops and pork belly to start and if I could have done, I would have licked my plate clean! It was all so tasty, I followed this with duo of pork, well the loin was incredible, so soft and succulent and the pork belly was soft and unctuous. All the waiting staff was friendly and knowledgable and it was fabulous evening. We will definitely be back when we are next in beautiful Norfolk. Highly recommended.More

I haven’t dined here for some and there have been some additions in the kitchen as well as front of house Dan has returned. Such a nice chap. I have never had a bad experience here. My meal was excellent. In fact my starter Woodland...mushrooms with a parmesan veloute was outstanding. I did ask my server to pass on my comments to the chef as good work needs recognition. That was followed by a simply excellent Pork belly main, my wifes meal was also excellent. We both felt that the standard had improved from an already high bar which is good news for all. If you haven’t been here I would highly recommend it. You can have simply have a drink in the bar or a snack or formal dining. It offers it all. Make the effort you wont be disappointed.More

Hi Tim Having eaten in your restaurant a few times now in the past. We ate at your fantastic restaurant twice this week, firstly on Saturday at the chefs table where we enjoyed oysters and porterhouse steak, which was delicious. We saw first hand how...hard all your team worked especially the chefs in the wood fired kitchen! We ate again last night with friends and again it was faultless, all of us had different dishes all all were cooked perfectly, also the added bonus of your wonderful Fleurie. An outstanding experience here on Wednesday evening. It was our first time at Twenty9, but my word it won’t be the last. Everything about this restaurant is right. The dining rooms are warm, they are comfortable, the staff are smiley and friendly, helpful, not ‘servile’...just brilliant. The food is sublime. We had a table with a view of the pass and the wood fire grill behind. The kitchen looked amazing. The whole experience was just top notch. Well done to the team who run Twenty9, I wish you were closer to Saffron Walden.More

Wow where do I start? Great food, excellent service and welcoming atmosphere, No Twenty Nine has it all. I had the calves liver and the rice pudding which were both exceptionally prepared and presented. As an Aussie come Brit and regular Norfolk visitor. I cannot...recommend highly enough. An absolute gem of a place. Enjoyed a tasty lunch, excellent service and able to eat in the stunning bar which is dog friendly and even offers a doggie lunch menu. We’ll be back.

The worst unfriendly and pretentious restaurant there is in Norfolk…. Please do not book!! We paid a deposit and couldn’t go due to a serious family issue. We called up a week in advance to cancel or reschedule and the rude unsympathetic man on the...end of the phone would not change or refund the deposit (£150) after telling us they would have someone to cover the booking by the weekend…. The man on the phone who claims to have 30 years in the business spoke down to me and over me in a very degrading manner. As as a woman this made me feel undermined and completely disrespected when I was simply trying to rebook and even said I would spend more than the cost of the deposit?! Its just ludicrous. I would hope you learn some manners and some customer loyalty, he even hung up the phone on me! Myself and our family have stayed here many times over the years and will certainly never be staying here again, it’s a real shame that this business has gone so downhill over the past 6 months, the level of service has completely deteriorated. First time in North Norfolk and based in Burnham Market. Switched our reservation from an evening to Sunday Lunch. Starter: Pigeon starter shared, x2 sirloin beef main, date & chocolate rice pudding all washed down with an Italian Appassimento Barbera Passito in fact two bottles...of! Outstanding in every way from arrival through ordering to presentation and service. It was a busy Sunday with several families lunching so an opportunity to slip up - not here! Rebooked for 1st Nov - couldn't think of anywhere better to spend my birthday evening.More

What a fabulous weekend! The food & accommodation were amazing & the attention to detail was excellent! Our dog stayed too & she was equally spoilt! The staff were all amazing, so friendly & extremely helpful. Can’t rate this highly enough. We will be back!

Wow! Birthday family celebration lunch yesterday. Superb on every level. Staff polite, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Our lunch was delicious - varied menu with choices for all - high quality ingredients and beautifully presented. Accompanied by an excellent choice of wines. The...finishing touch was a lovely little birthday cake for the birthday boy! Cannot recommend more highly!More

We had high expectations based on price and previous reviews. Firstly the order for mains was incorrect and wrong food arrived. This in itself would not be a problem if sorted out adequately. However, when ‘freshly cooked’ plates arrived, the one correct original plate of...a pork duo was dry and over cooked, and the now corrected Halibut and pasta dish was also over cooked, with dry fish and crispy over cooked pasta. 80% of the pork dish was returned and pieces of the fish dish returned for the chef. Problems explained to apologetic staff. Their solution, was to refund £26.90 of the bill which didn’t even cover the pork dish. Maybe our expectations are too high, but £85 for a couple of drinks each, a nice enough starter but two overcooked mains seems rather a lot. Based on this experience we shall neither be returning nor recommending to anyone.More
