This is a tiny gem in North Norfolk. We were lucky enough to get a cancellation and what a treat it was. Wonderful staff serving absolutely delicious food with warmth and enthusiasm. The food journey is traceable and thoughtful. Absolutely loved it from start to...finish. If you can get a table do not hesitate.More

We thoroughly enjoyed our family meal last week. Food was superb as always. Such a great experience. I had the veggie set menu and it was perfect.

Having tried for a couple of years to get another table, we were lucky this time in catching a cancellation as it appeared. We opted for the long tasting menu with wine pairing. It was sublime - probably the finest dinner we can remember (and...we have travelled pretty widely and enjoy good food!). The owners and staff are superb hosts -really well briefed on every course and wine. The courses were perfectly paced and exquisitely presented. The wines came from all over the world but were all really good in their own right but complemented their dish perfectly. We were given a really interesting detailed account of the food and wines as they arrived. The dinner took about 3 hours but it flew by. They kindly rang our taxi asking him to come later! It is an expensive evening, certainly by Norfolk standards but this place is beyond exceptional and the obvious time, carefully and lovingly sourced (mostly local) top quality ingredients and breathtaking master-craft in the kitchen mean it probably couldn’t be achieved for less. Thank you to this wonderful couple who have created a truly exceptional gastronomic sensation here in North Norfolk.More

We were extremely lucky to get a cancellation as I understand normally they are booked out 3 months in advance. We opted for the "short" taster and it was truly a wonderful culinary experience. The waitress was totally informed as to what we were served...and each course just got better. The combinations of tastes and textures were beyond description. When asked what was our favourite we could only reply that they were all fantastic.More

Imaginative food, a few twists and a great front of house team made this a really lovely foodie experience. We had the longer menu, with seven different courses and we really struggled to pick a favourite. It was actually the usual non-stars that really shone...- a baked egg, pumpkin, potatoes - all played such a key role. And I loved the additional touches of herbs and flowers from the garden. The friendly staff and lovely soundtrack rounded off a great evening.More

We had a fabulous meal at The Old Bank this evening. Food and service were wonderful and Aga’s friendly warmth makes even those of us for whom it was our first time feel like old friends. We can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be...back on future trips to Norfolk. Thank you Aga and Lewis.More

We had the long menu for a table of four. Small plates but lots of them. An exquisite experience that lasted around 3 hours. Each dish was beautifully presented and described and contained an array of flavours using locally sourced fare. The secret is in...the detail with some of the ingredients cooked slowly over several days to achieve the desired taste and feel. Every dish gave something new to the pallet. It was quite simply the best dining experience I have ever had.More

What can I say? We have eaten at some great restaurants in the past but this was right up there with the very best. The food was amazing - the wine flight was a joy to compliment the food and the service was excellent -...cannot believe this is on our door step - we will be back without a doubt!More

We visited the Old Bank a couple of days ago while staying in the area. We chose the ‘longer’ set menu with wine pairings and were not disappointed. Every dish was delicious and the wine pairings complemented the food. We were certainly introduced to new...wines we hadn’t tried before, such as a Spanish Ice Wine and a Norfolk wine! The service was great too, all dishes and wines explained in detail. Hope we will be back sometime.More

Wow wow wow. There are probably not enough superlatives for the stunning food and service this restaurant provides. It was first class from start to finish. If we had paid double the amount for our food and wine, we would still be waxing lyrical about...this restaurant. What was there to like? Everything. It was all first class in every aspect. This quite simply is a gem of a restaurant.More
