My partner, myself and my 92 year old father's were visiting father's friend in Bexhill, for the weekend and were recommended this pub for food. We went for Saturday lunch and enjoyed the ambience, beer, cider and diet coke (said the driver) so much, we booked for Sunday lunch as well. A wonderfully friendly 'locals pub' (and believe me I... Friendly, cosy and excellent menu. Sat by a log fire and enjoyed some brilliant home cooking. Good value too.

This is the 2nd time I have been here and I think it just gets better. The Steak and Stilton pie is to die for, the best pie I have ever had, my brother and his girlfriend had burgers and myself and my parents had the pie and we were all very happy! Will be back again soon!

Went out with friends. Very quiet, service pleasant and efficient. A few things missing off the menu. Starters o.k. nothing to write home about. The main courses were disappointing. When paying £20.95 for a fillet steak (3 of us) I would suggest that it could be much better if a few additions such as fresh vegetables or a side salad... More

Why do people attack small businesses like ours over nothing......maybe a new hobby would help...The Landlord, me!, works seven days a week and hasn't had a holiday for two years and employs fifteen local people...what do our critics do? Get a Life! I am I not allowed to relax at my Bar in my Home? More

Had a lovely meal at the Bulls Head this afternoon, we had been out wandering around Battle Abbey and building up a hunger when I remembered that it had come highly recommended, really easy to get to from Battle as well. We arrived fairly late, sat down about 2, it was pretty full up but they made space for us... More

A real pub with a proper landlord! Always busy and that's because it has great food and great service and lovely to see it is supported by the locals so gives it that great atmosphere. Michael goes to a lot of effort to support the community too and organise lots of events - advisable to book a table if you... More

Four of us were looking forward to a catch up with some good food and wine. One meal was forgotten which meant three ate while the other waited. Two of our group did not like butternut squash and when alternative veg were requested a bowl of bullet hard almost raw peas were brought out. A crevettes and crayfish salad with... More

We are very sorry Nicky Pont and group were not happy with their recent visit to The Bulls Head........it was explained to them that our Chef collapsed during service and was rushed to Hospital in a serious condition...this was perceived as "an Excuse"........`I have to say it was not.........We work very hard to run our business and it is most... This was my third trip here and I was not disappointed. Yet again, the service was friendly, the beer well kept and the food nicely cooked, well presented and filling. This time I had the beef and stilton pie (I've had burgers on previous visits) and a sticky toffee pudding. I was stuffed and dinner for my friend and me... More

Visited on Sunday - had been looking around for dog friendly pubs - lovely atmosphere - we were found a table immediately even though it was lunchtime and we had our dog with us. Very considerate staff - friendly throughout & clean. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you!
