My partner and I had a great evening in this warm and friendly pub. The food was fantastic- it appears the locals all know this already. The food all seemed to be cooked from scratch. It had a great friendly atmosphere too, logs fires included. Great staff, we'll definitely be back.
after visiting a couple of times a 2 maybe 3 years ago my family and I decided not to go again as it lacked in good food, atmosphere and all in all was not well kept but knowing there were new people there I decided to consider it and thank goodness I did. I looked online for a menu and... More
On a recent return to the Merrier Harriers to eat for the first time in a while we were most impressed by the food. We were chatting with the Landlord and commented about the food and he explained that they had recently employed a new chief and they were also pleased. The chef then later came out and introduced himself... More

Last week we were away in Cornwall and went to a very expensive hotel restaurant.....I can honestly say the food at the Harriers was better. I had the garlic mushrooms, followed by Roast Beef which was stated to be sirloin, and as I can assure you... More
Tried this pub after our usual one was too busy due to a large party turning up. Second pub didn't serve food, so this was our third choice! Very warm welcome from the landlord. Lovely looking traditional pub and cosy and inviting inside. We ordered Stilton and broccoli soup and garlic mushrooms. Both dishes were below par in today's standards... More
