Our second visit to the Moor & Pheasant was on a Sunday around 5:30pm and not as good as when we were in a few months ago for Sudnay lunch. Meats were lovely and tender but the vegetables were over cooked, somewhat soggy. We also had to wait a long time to have our main course plates cleared and a... More

Best carvery my partner and I have had in an age. I am gluten free and could not have been looked after better. Great food. Lovely surroundings. Great staff. Amazing wine offer, French Chardonnay, beautiful. Fantastic choice of gluten free puddings...I was spoilt for choice. Went with the cheesecake and was not disappointed. Will be calling again when in the... More

Went as a family group of 15 including a veggie for Sunday Carvery. We were well looked after even though it was a busy Sunday. Meat was good, vegetables even better. Delicious range of deserts.

Honestly, I came here not expecting much. But this was one of the most pleasant and friendly dining experiences I've ever had! The staff were unbelievably kind and attentive! It was lovely to have such good service. The carvery was cooked to perfection. Honestly the best roast beef I have had in my life. So happy with this place!

We came as a large group to celebrate a 25th wedding anniversary and most of us had never dined here before. You have just gained several new customers! Gorgeous carvery and delicious puddings. Attention to detail with a little bit of fun for the Christmas decorations. Customer service was fantastic, especially from the dark haired waitress who took care of... More

We visit The Moor and Pheasant on average twice every month and when we think we should try somewhere else for a change we always end up with you because the service and food are consistently good.

From the moment you enter this comfortable Inn and are greeted by a member of staff, you realise you are in a for a treat. You are shown to your table and invited to take your choice from a large selection from the carvery. The choice varies daily, but always there is a large selection of meats, pies, pastas and... We called in for a Sunday dinner and it was "al a carte" and it was very nice, good portions of meat and good quality vegetables, sat outside in beer garden and was nice sunny day but nice to sit inside as well, very reasonable prices and good friendly staff, will be back.

Description
The Moor & Pheasant Country Pub & Carvery is open Wednesday to Sunday. We serve great value traditional roasts, family favourites like Steak & Ale pie and veggie curries along with a great selection of desserts to tempt those of you with a sweet tooth. Mains are all just £8.95 (Children's Portions £4.95), desserts are just £2.95, and we've a great value wine list to match so you can treat the whole family without breaking the bank! There's no need to make a reservation, however if you are planning to come with a larger group (above 6) it might be a good idea to call ahead so we can get a table ready for you. We always try to cater for those with allergies, however it is much easier if you can let us know before you visit as that gives us a chance to prepare something special!
