Excellent gem of an Indian restaurant we found on a recent trip to watch the Moto GP at Silverstone. The location outside of Wellingborough was lovely, plenty of parking nearby. Staff were very attentive from the moment we arrived until we left. The choice of...food and drink was excellent and prices very, very reasonable. We are Northerners and expected Southern prices 😉 but all was priced ideally. Food was hot and fresh ( bit too much coriander). All in all, excellent location, staff and food, probably the best Indian meal I have ever had and will definitely return when back in the area. 5star.More
Saturday night treat! Had meant to go many times as passed this little gem on the corner of the high street Wollaston Northants. We could not find a restaurant close to the Derngate for a theater night, so booked closer to home. I am so...glad we did. The restaurant was spotless, staff polite and helpful and the food was amazing! Both quality and price. I am so glad we went. The menus was extensive and plenty of choice even for the veggie! It made the evening. The theater show wasn't as good as the food we had earlier sadly, but I defffinately go back again. This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in 35 years, including all my trips abroad. Thank you to all the staff and the chef! The only slight niggle is parking which is limited but it doesn't dampen the evening and the atmosphere was really lovely.More
We decided to venture further afield to Wollaston to try the Khandan and we were suitably impressed. Nice clean modern restaurant with attentive staff who were on hand to advise on the menu The food was excellent and not swimming in ghee. An overall experience...that you need to try if in the area.More
food was really good and much better quality than the average Indian We ate inside the restaurant, there are a few draft beers on tap. Will definitely come back at some point and would recommend the food to a friend.
We stopped to eat at Kandu on the off-chance, without having had a reservation, as we'd driven by so many times and it looked really inviting. Wow - the food was just incredible - there were so many lovely vegan options for me, and, though...I can't remember what my partner ate, he really enjoyed his meat dishes. The staff were super efficient and friendly. Excellent value for the quality of food, in a wonderfully clean and cosy dining area - we'd definitely go back!More
I can’t even write a long review about this place. It was just amazing. That’s all. Bit of a spur of the moment visit to be fair, but it did not disappoint. I will Be returning for sure.
I have eaten at the Khandan quite a few times over the years and the food is always really tasty. When you eat in the restaurant at peak times you can wait quite a long time for food but it is worth it when it...arrives.More
I live very near this restaurant and have ordered takeaway many times which is always good. Today I ‘sat in’ for the first time and it was equally excellent. As a vegetarian I am grateful for the lovely vegan options and loads of veggie choices...and I always think Indian cuisine does veggie food better than anywhere in the world! Food was fresh and beautiful and service was exceptional, professional, quick and friendly. My friend also thought the food was amazing. Highly recommended.More
I personally am not a big fan of 'curry'. Several weeks ago we paid a Sunday evening visit to Khandan, I only went because we were having dinner with my Husband's daughter and her partner and I didn't want to appear anti social. I was...really impressed with the restaurant; spotlessly clean, bright and airy. The service was exceptional and the food, even for a non curry lover like me, was super tasty and great value for money. Tonight was our SECOND takeaway order, for an alleged non curry lover like myself, I think that speaks for itself. Super speedy delivery, piping hot, really, really tasty food and fantastic value, again. The Husband, my Dad and our dog (for the scraps) were all suitably impressed as well. I would have no hesitation in recommending Khandan and would definitely order again.More
I have used this take away for a little while now and can honestly say that each time I am never disappointed. The food is always freshly cooked and arrives hot. I would definitely recommend that you try it. Delivery personnel are always cheerful and...friendly tooMore
We’ve been having takeaway meals from Khandan for a while now but have never chosen to eat at the restaurant. Well we did and it was absolutely fantastic. So tasty, fresh, piping hot and one of the best we’ve had (the other being Nawab Lounge,...St Neots). The restaurant was busy and during a visit to use the loo it was great to see how busy they were with takeaways too. Absolutely must try if you haven’t, whether takeaway or dining in. The only two things I’d say is not much of a welcome when we originally walked in and the waiters all seemed to be a bit manic with multiple covering different tables and confusing orders ( thankfully not ours).More
Fabulous meal, so tasty, had to bring my wife before Christmas and just after (27th), awesome service and great value.
This has to be the most flavoursome meal I have had in a long long time. Absolutely amazing and excellent friendly staff. Well worth a visit
Lovely food always delicious, never ever disappointing. I have tried many indian restaurants but always return to this one. The environment is lovely and clean and relaxing . The service is always exceptional.
