We hadn’t been for a while so decided to give June Plum a try, staff were friendly from arrival and service was good throughout, food was a little disappointing my rice was stone cold as were my husbands chips, I should have said something but...I didn’t want to take the risk with rice as it can make you poorly so I decided to just completely leave it as there was plenty on my plate to eat, my fried chicken was just ok some pieces were over cooked some pieces were tasty, my husband enjoyed his Jerk chicken, and the fritters we order on the side weee delicious, so but of a mixed bag. The Red Stripe was £7 a pint from draft which we thought was a bit steep but there were other beer options. Wouldn’t rush back sadly.More

Brilliant authentic Jamaican cuisine. The fried chicken is amazing as is the curry goat, and jerk pork.

Been looking for a venue for my husbands 60th Birthday next year , he is Jamaican decent, found June Plum and we took him for a meal this year. On arrival my daughter have the staff member a cake to hide in the kitchen. We...arrived at 17:15 , requested to give our food order at 17:25, drinks order taken and arrived still no food order, requested a second time, finally gave a food order. 18:15 still no food, requested how long the food was going to be, rather then just say maybe half an hour , we were given a story on the table before us still haven’t eaten, it may be a good time to mentioned there was only them and us in the restaurant at this point. Although I appreciate orders online may be happening. We were told maybe 15 mins 18:30 still no food , Front of house manager did apologise and again couldn’t give us a time for our food, although he did say the table before us would be a further 10-15 minutes, so 2 hours after arriving we still could eat? The staff attending a cricket match yesterday, not sure why that delayed them for today. We then asked for the bill for 3 cocktails these were actually really nice, the bill came , along with the surprise Birthday cake for my husband was just put on the table in front of him. DId I mention this was a surprise?? The front of house manager again apologise and to be fair offered us the drinks on the house, however we will not be attending again, and we certainly WILL NOT be booking this for a 60th birthday meal. We are all for supporting small businesses but not when you sit and wait like this.More

My wife and I took our friends here after we had enjoyed a family meal here a few weeks ago. Absolutely brilliant. Everything was perfect. Not too many things on the men. Not having visited for a few years I took my sister who is vegan . We had some great cocktails with sorrel and Wray and nephews. I had the special peppered prawns with homemade sour dough which was delicious. Sister had ital stew with roti...and some dumplings. Freshly good great flavours . The staff were knowledgeable and made recommendations good music and vibes will be back for sureMore

Well what can we say. My wife who is vegan and wheat intolerant tired the not fish and chips good portion and it was so yummy. I had to help her finish it as there was so much of the dish. I had the curried...goat with rice and peas the meat was so tender and again so much of it and so yummy. Staff amazing and having a good chin was icing on the cake. The place got rather busy, so just goes to show how good this restaurant is. We will come again, once we moved to WellingborughMore

In an area where it's really hard to find decent Caribbean food, June plum came through like a knight in shinning armor. Had an event that needed catering and took a chance on June plum to cater for my event and they DID NOT DISSAPOINT!...Customer service was on point, efficient, fast and friendly! Value for money was incredible, for what we paid and what was delivered we could not believe how generous they are with their portions. It's so lovely to see in an economy where people are cutting corners, June Plum certainly does not! Quality of food was INCREDIBLE. Full of flavour, fresh and cooked to perfection. Very accommodating to make sure my event took place without a hitch. Safe to say this food was the highlight of the day. Not just excellent food, but good people as well! If you're looking for a top shelf experience and real soul food look no further. June Plum is the place to be! Highly recommend the pork belly, coleslaw and the sweetcorn fritters!
